Blunt trauma threatens the lives of many accident victims.  It is also emblematic of the greatest threat to women\u2019s health in the 21st century: Willard Romney and the Republican Party.  When you hear that Romney supports contraception for women, don\u2019t believe it.  Romney openly advocated the Blunt Amendment, which would strip away women\u2019s rights, and other draconian measures.<\/font><\/p>\n

\"20blunt\"Overnight, a new advertisement for Mitt Romney popped up online unannounced, claiming that \u201cRomney doesn\u2019t oppose contraception at all. In fact, he thinks abortion should be an option in cases of rape, incest, or to save a mother\u2019s life.\u201d\u2026<\/font><\/p>\n

…The new ad is an overt attempt to frame the candidate as a moderate<\/a><\/font> on women\u2019s issues, as the Romney campaign has been attempting to do<\/a><\/font> for the past week. But it covers up at least five of Romney\u2019s most extreme positions on these issues \u2014 ones that any voter casting their ballot this election season deserves to know:<\/font><\/p>\n

1) Romney supported the Blunt amendment.<\/font><\/strong><\/span> The Blunt Amendment would allow employers to deny contraception<\/a><\/font> to their female employees because of religious [or moral] objections. That means any woman working for an employer who didn\u2019t support contraception would be denied the right to have her birth control costs covered. When asked if he supported the amendment, Romney said, \u201cOf course<\/a><\/font>.\u201d<\/font><\/p>\n
