In fact, he thinks abortion should be an option in cases of rape, incest, or to save a mother\u2019s life.\u201d\u2026<\/font><\/p>\n<p style=\"line-height: normal; margin: 0in; font-family: \"><font style=\"font-size: 12pt\">&#8230;The new ad is an overt attempt to frame the candidate <a href=\"http:\/\/thinkprogress.org\/health\/2012\/10\/10\/983951\/romney-distorts-his-abortion-record\/\">as a moderate<\/a><font color=\"#0066cc\"><\/font> on women\u2019s issues, as the Romney campaign has been <a href=\"http:\/\/thinkprogress.org\/health\/2012\/10\/15\/1016321\/romney-choice-language\/\" target=\"_blank\">attempting to do<\/a><font color=\"#0066cc\"><\/font> for the past week. But it covers up at least five of Romney\u2019s most extreme positions on these issues \u2014 ones that any voter casting their ballot this election season deserves to know:<\/font><\/p>\n<p style=\"line-height: normal; margin: 0in 0in 0in 0.375in; font-family: \"><span><strong><font style=\"font-size: 12pt\">1) Romney supported the Blunt amendment.<\/font><\/strong><\/span><font style=\"font-size: 12pt\"> The Blunt Amendment would <a href=\"http:\/\/thinkprogress.org\/health\/2012\/02\/10\/423346\/gop-ups-the-ante-introduces-legislation-to-allow-any-employer-to-deny-any-preventive-health-service\/\" target=\"_blank\">allow employers to deny contraception<\/a><font color=\"#0066cc\"><\/font> to their female employees because of religious [or moral] objections. That means any woman working for an employer who didn\u2019t support contraception would be denied the right to have her birth control costs covered. The Blunt Amendment has nothing to do with religious charities. Wade, and they would limit access to contraception and other services.
