Taking Obama\u2019s statements out of contest and twisting their meaning has been a hallmark of the Romney\/Ryan campaign.  Then Faux Noise<\/em> does their part, the sheeple say ba-a-a-a-a-a-a, and the rest of the main stream media rarely call them out on it.  One such deception will be a centerpiece of the GOP Convention.<\/font><\/p>\n

\"23Tampa_Stadium\"The Republican National Committee (RNC) announced this week that it would craft its convention theme around President Barack Obama’s "You didn’t build that" remark — which was taken out of context to suggest that business owners "didn’t build" their businesses — and the party will unveil that message in an arena that was mostly built with government funds<\/strong>. <\/p>\n

The Daily Dolt noted<\/a> on Wednesday that part of the GOP message may be undermined by the fact that the Tampa Bay Times Forum arena — where the convention is being held — was financed with $86 million in public money<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

During a campaign event in Virginia last month, Obama had pointed out the importance of the government’s role in providing infrastructure and education as a foundation for small business success. <\/p>\n

"If you were successful, somebody along the line gave you some help," the president explained. "There was a great teacher somewhere in your life. Somebody helped to create this unbelievable American system that we have that allowed you to thrive. Somebody invested in roads and bridges. If you\u2019ve got a business — you didn\u2019t build that. Somebody else made that happen."<\/p>\n

In a series of ads<\/a> and speeches, presumptive Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney’s campaign selectively edited those remarks by removing the reference to "roads and bridges," making it seem like the president was dismissing the success of small business owners. <\/p>\n

"In speeches and videos, the Romney campaign has repeatedly distorted Obama’s words<\/strong>," PolitiFact wrote<\/a>. "By plucking two sentences out of context, Romney twists the president’s remarks and ignores their real meaning<\/strong>. … Romney and his supporters have misled viewers and given a false impression. For that, we rate the claim False."\u2026 [emphasis added<\/em>]<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Look how the Republican Ministry of Propaganda, Faux Noise<\/em>, distorts the story for their sheeple.<\/font><\/p>\n

The simple fact here is that Obama was right about everything he said.  Rove, Cheney, the Koch Brothers, Adelman, et al fail to understand that by hoarding so much more for themselves at our expense, they are undermining their own long term success.  The best thing for the 1% is a thriving 99% with money to spend.  A few of the super-rich understand, but only three billionaires have spent $250,000 or more on the Obama campaign, compared to thirty six billionaires on the Romney campaign.  <\/font>Insisting that the rich pay their fair share is best for them too.<\/font><\/p>\n

People create government to do those things collectively that government can do better for us than we can for ourselves as individuals.  Building infrastructure that benefits all is one of those things.  But instead on spending taxpayers\u2019 collective funds on taxpayers\u2019 common good, Republicans would starve the common good and spend all on welfare for the rich instead.  The top of the nation\u2019s economic pyramid has become so heavy that it is crushing the base.  Stopping that requires stopping the Republican Party.<\/font><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
