Jobs, Jobs, Jobs!  That\u2019s what Republicans say they are about.  However, whenever they say they are concentrating on jobs, the jobs are usually them staying hard at work inserting their control between the legs of women, even if doing so violates the Constitution.<\/font><\/p>\n

The clock is ticking down on the Jackson Women’s Health Organization. When the time is up, the clinic could be shutting its doors, putting a stop to abortions in Mississippi. That’s if a lawsuit filed by the New York-based Center for Reproductive Rights isn’t acted on by Sunday at midnight<\/strong>. <\/p>\n

The suit claims House Bill 1390, which is set to take effect on Monday, is unconstitutional in shutting down the clinic. <\/p>\n

"We filed the lawsuit to protect the constitutional right and the health of the women in Mississippi," said the center’s litigation director, Julie Rikelman.<\/p>\n

Under the new law, physicians practicing abortions must be OB-GYN certified and have admitting privileges at local hospitals. The clinic maintains the certification of its physicians but says admitting privileges can’t be obtain before the law takes effect. <\/p>\n

"We’re talking about an extraordinary attack on this one clinic, one business in Mississippi," said state president of the National Organization of Women, Lauri Roberts\u2026 [emphasis added<\/em>]<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

What this article did not cover is that the law had nothing to do with guaranteeing the quality of health care.  Republican leaders stated specifically that the intent of the law is to end abortion in Mississippi.<\/font><\/p>\n
