Independents backed the decision by better than a two-to-one margin.<\/p>\n<p><font color=\"#0000ff\">No surprise here.&#160; The move was as practical as it was politically brilliant.<\/font><\/p>\n<p><font color=\"#0000ff\">From <a href=\"http:\/\/livewire.talkingpointsmemo.com\/entries\/maine-senate-candidate-will-decide-party-affiliation-after\" target=\"_blank\">TPM<\/a>: <\/font>Angus King, the independent former governor who is running for Maine\u2019s open Senate seat, won\u2019t say which party he will caucus with until after he\u2019s elected in November, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.usatoday.com\/news\/politics\/story\/2012-06-15\/maine-candidate-king\/55675188\/1\" target=\"_blank\">reports<\/a> USA Today.
