As much as we might enjoy thinking of Republican politicians and pundits as stupid, they are not.\u00a0 They are stupid like sharks with blood in the water.\u00a0 They are focused on their goals and pursue them with Machiavellian intensity.\u00a0 The problem is that their goals are directly opposed to the well being of the 99%.\u00a0 Everything Republicans do is intended to further one of two goals.\u00a0 One is the transfer of wealth from the poor and middle classes to the 1%.\u00a0 The other is the establishment of a permanent Republican regime, where one party rules exclusively, and that rule is impervious to elections.\u00a0 Republicans know what the economy needs, and history proves it.\u00a0 But they are preventing it to sabotage the economy.<\/span><\/p>\n

If Republicans had not blocked Obama\u2019s jobs initiatives over and over again, the recovery from the Republican Recession would be much further along than it is.\u00a0 There can be no doubt that they know that too.\u00a0 The reason they are doing this is to blame Democrats for the effects of their sabotage so they can assume power.\u00a0 They do not care how many Americans suffer because of their sabotage.\u00a0 The 1% has theirs.\u00a0 That\u2019s good enough for the Republican Party.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
