Thanks to Citizens United and other recent court decisions, individuals, corporations and unions can make unlimited donations to so-called super PACs that support a candidate. The <a href=\"http:\/\/projects.propublica.org\/pactrack\/\" target=\"_blank\">money is flowing in<\/a><font color=\"#0066cc\"><\/font>. So, exactly who is donating, and what do they want?<\/font><\/p>\n<p style=\"line-height: normal; margin: 0in; font-family: \"><font style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Here\u2019s our guide to the top 10 super PAC contributors through Jan. 31, the latest date for which donors have been required to disclose. Unless otherwise noted, all estimates of net worth are from Forbes. At the time<a href=\"http:\/\/articles.latimes.com\/2011\/aug\/16\/nation\/la-na-0816-perry-donors-20110816\" target=\"_blank\">, Simmons was Gov. Rick Perry&#8217;s second-largest donor<\/a><font color=\"#0066cc\"><\/font>, having given $100,000 to Perry\u2019s campaign 10 days after Perry signed legislation allowing WCS to accept low-level radioactive waste from outside Texas. Much of the waste WCS was cleaning up came from another Simmons company that had repeatedly been <a href=\"http:\/\/www.sec.gov\/Archives\/edgar\/data\/72162\/0000950129-94-000120.txt\" target=\"_blank\">cited for environmental violations.<\/a><font color=\"#0066cc\"><\/font> A <a href=\"http:\/\/www.texastribune.org\/texas-environmental-news\/environmental-problems-and-policies\/texas-billionaire-nears-radioactive-waste-dump-vic\/\" target=\"_blank\">Simmons spokesman<\/a><font color=\"#0066cc\"><\/font> said at the time that concerns about the project were exaggerated.<\/font><\/p>\n<p style=\"line-height: normal; margin: 0in; font-family: \"><font style=\"font-size: 12pt\">On a personal note, Simmons has been sued by two of his daughters. In 1997, the daughters <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/1997\/04\/08\/business\/a-family-feuds-in-texas-over-2-trust-funds.html?ref=haroldcsimmons\" target=\"_blank\">alleged that he had used trusts<\/a><font color=\"#0066cc\"><\/font> set up for them for his own purposes. They also claimed that Simmons had pressured them to make hundreds of thousands of dollars in campaign contributions from the funds. Two other daughters sided with Simmons, whom The New York Times called a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/1997\/05\/18\/business\/daughters-do-battle-with-a-corporate-king-lear.html?pagewanted=all&amp;src=pm\" target=\"_blank\">\u201ccorporate version of King Lear.\u201d<\/a><font color=\"#0066cc\"><\/font> The legal battle ended a year later when Simmons <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/1998\/02\/11\/business\/agreement-ends-simmons-family-s-feud.html?ref=haroldcsimmons\" target=\"_blank\">agreed to give his daughters $50 million<\/a><font color=\"#0066cc\"><\/font> each if they would relinquish claims to the rest of his fortune. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.reuters.com\/article\/2012\/02\/02\/us-usa-campaign-simmons-idUSTRE81101H20120202\" target=\"_blank\">Simmons denied all wrongdoing.<\/a><font color=\"#0066cc\"><\/font>..
