{"id":7255,"date":"2012-02-26T00:14:11","date_gmt":"2012-02-26T08:14:11","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.politicsplus.org\/blog\/?p=7255"},"modified":"2012-02-26T00:14:11","modified_gmt":"2012-02-26T08:14:11","slug":"could-walkers-koch-be-cut-off","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.politicsplus.org\/blog\/2012\/02\/26\/could-walkers-koch-be-cut-off\/","title":{"rendered":"Could Walker&#8217;s Koch Be Cut Off?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><font color=\"#0000ff\">As the stage is set for recall in Fitzwalkerstan, formerly Wisconsin, Fartfuhrer Walker has become all the more dependent on the largesse of the corporate criminals, to whom he sold-out his regime\u2019s tortured subjects, especially the Koch Brothers.&#160; However, the Koch Brothers have become so blatant, it appears that they have actually admitted to violating campaign finance laws, as the following article by John Nichols demonstrates.&#160; If so, Walker\u2019s Koch may be cut off.<\/font><\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"display: inline; float: left\" title=\"26WalkerKoch\" alt=\"26WalkerKoch\" align=\"left\" src=\"https:\/\/www.7thstep.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/02\/26WalkerKoch.jpg\" width=\"360\" height=\"691\" \/>Billionaire campaign donor David Koch has rarely spoken in public about <a href=\"http:\/\/www.sourcewatch.org\/index.php?title=Scott_Walker#Relationship_to_Koch_Industries\">the central role he has played in the election of Scott Walker<\/a> as governor of Wisconsin, the defense of Walker\u2019s embattled governorship and, now, Walker\u2019s desperate attempt to defeat the recall election that more than one million Wisconsinites have demanded.<\/p>\n<p>Until now. And that has raised fundamental legal and political questions about the manipulation of Wisconsin politics by out-of-state billionaires.<\/p>\n<p>It is no secret that Koch and his billionaire brother, Charles, have <a href=\"http:\/\/www.sourcewatch.org\/index.php?title=Scott_Walker#Relationship_to_Koch_Industries\" target=\"_blank\">long been a Walker supporters<\/a>. Their Koch Industries PAC was the second-highest donor to Walker\u2019s 2010 campaign, donating $43,000. The PAC also gave $1 million to the Republican Governors Association, which streamed spending into Wisconsin on behalf of Walker\u2019s election.<\/p>\n<p>And the Americans for Prosperity groups the Kochs founded and financed certainly seemed to be active on Walker\u2019s behalf.<\/p>\n<p><strong>But AFP and its foundation could not campaign openly for Walker or other candidates, as they are tax exempt organizations operating under laws that protect civic and educational charities<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>So it was incredible when David Koch admitted in <\/strong><a href=\"http:\/\/host.madison.com\/ct\/news\/opinion\/column\/john_nichols\/john-nichols-david-koch-admits-to-helping-walker-big-time\/article_55b6f370-040b-5eca-a0b7-98ad6bda6eec.html?print=1\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>an interview with the Palm Beach Post<\/strong><\/a><strong> that he planned to support Walker with spending by AFP<\/strong>. \u201cWe\u2019re helping him, as we should,\u201d Koch said of Walker. \u201cWe\u2019ve gotten pretty good at this over the years. We\u2019ve spent a lot of money in Wisconsin.
