{"id":6754,"date":"2012-01-14T00:02:29","date_gmt":"2012-01-14T08:02:29","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.politicsplus.org\/blog\/?p=6754"},"modified":"2012-01-14T00:02:29","modified_gmt":"2012-01-14T08:02:29","slug":"ron-pauls-big-brother-state","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.politicsplus.org\/blog\/2012\/01\/14\/ron-pauls-big-brother-state\/","title":{"rendered":"Ron Paul&#8217;s Big Brother State"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><font color=\"#0000ff\">Ron Paul is making it a point to repeat that Americans need liberty, free from interference from the big Nanny State.&#160; That may be reasonable, except for one thing.&#160; Ron Paul is lying, because he has no qualms about having the Big Brother state take the liberty from and trampling the rights of individual Americans.<\/font><\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"background-image: none; border-right-width: 0px; padding-left: 0px; padding-right: 0px; display: inline; float: left; border-top-width: 0px; border-bottom-width: 0px; border-left-width: 0px; padding-top: 0px\" title=\"14paul-abortion\" border=\"0\" alt=\"14paul-abortion\" align=\"left\" src=\"https:\/\/www.7thstep.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/01\/14paul-abortion.jpg\" width=\"360\" height=\"440\" \/>When GOP presidential hopeful Ron Paul was asked today about Tuesday\u2019s federal court ruling upholding an aggressive new sonogram law in his home state of Texas, the congressman said the <strong>requirement that women seeking an abortion first get a sonogram \u201cshould always have been a Texas state position.\u2019\u2019<\/strong> <\/p>\n<p>\u201cLike Roe v Wade should never have been heard in the Supreme Court,\u201d he said after a midday speech and rally at the Columbia Metropolitan Airport at the Eagle Aviation Building .<\/p>\n<p>Paul, who opposes abortion rights, has consistently railed against intrusive Big Brother government when it comes to other issues, especially health care reform.
