border-right-width: 0px; padding-left: 0px; padding-right: 0px; display: inline; float: left; border-top-width: 0px; border-bottom-width: 0px; border-left-width: 0px; padding-top: 0px\" title=\"21bankers\" border=\"0\" alt=\"21bankers\" align=\"left\" src=\"https:\/\/www.7thstep.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/11\/21bankers.jpg\" width=\"360\" height=\"276\" \/>A Washington lobbying firm with links to the financial industry has proposed an $850,000 plan to take on the Occupy Wall Street protest and the politicians who support it.<\/p>\n<p>The secret proposal has been revealed in a memo obtained by the MSNBC program &#8216;Up with Chris Hayes&#8217;.<\/p>\n<p>The proposal was written on the letterhead of the lobbying firm Clark Lytle Geduldig &amp; Cranford (CLGC) and addressed to one of its clients, the American Bankers Association (ABA), reports MSNBC.CLGC\u2019s memo proposes that the ABA pay CLGC $850,000 to conduct &#8216;opposition research&#8217; on Occupy Wall Street in order to construct &#8216;negative narratives&#8217; about the protests and allied politicians. <\/p>\n<p><strong>The memo also states that Democratic victories in 2012 would be detrimental for Wall Street and names specific races in which it says Wall Street would benefit by electing Republicans instead<\/strong>, the report says.<\/p>\n<p><strong>According to the memo, if Democrats embrace OWS, &#8216;This would mean more than just short-term political discomfort for Wall Street.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&#8216;It has the potential to have very long-lasting political, policy and financial impacts on the companies in the center of the bullseye.&#8217;<\/p>\n<p>The memo also suggests that Democratic victories in 2012 should not be the ABA\u2019s biggest concern. \u201c\u2026 (T)he bigger concern,\u201d the memo says, should be that Republicans will no longer defend Wall Street companies.&#8217;\u2026 [<em>emphasis added<\/em>]<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Inserted from &lt;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.dailymail.co.uk\/news\/article-2063843\/Occupy-Wall-Street-The-secret-850k-plan-lobbyists-undermine-protests.html\" target=\"_blank\">The Daily Mail<\/a>&gt;<\/p>\n<p><font color=\"#0000ff\">Ask yourself this.&#160;
