Amendments to the bill, <a href=\"http:\/\/foreignaffairs.house.gov\/112\/hr%201905.pdf\" target=\"_blank\">H.R. 1905<\/a>, included one that says, \u201cNo person employed with the United States Government may contact in an official or unofficial capacity any person that\u2026is an agent, instrumentality, or official of, is affiliated with, or is serving as a representative of the Government of Iran.\u201d The president may request a waiver, but only with 15 days notice and if the contact averts an \u201cunusual and extraordinary threat to the vital national security interests of the United States.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><font color=\"#0000ff\">I believe this bill would be unconstitutional on its face, a violation of the separation of powers.&#160; Diplomacy is the purview of the Executive Branch.&#160; Congress\u2019 role is the requirement that the Senate ratify any treaties negotiated.<\/font><\/p>\n<p><font color=\"#0000ff\">From <a href=\"http:\/\/current.com\/shows\/countdown\/\" target=\"_blank\">Countdown<\/a>: Amendment to <\/font><font color=\"#0000ff\">Overturn Citizens United<\/font><\/p>\n<p><font color=\"#0000ff\"><\/font><iframe loading=\"lazy\" height=\"480\" src=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/aXB7ihp-e-8?rel=0\" frameborder=\"0\" width=\"640\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p><font color=\"#0000ff\">Bernie has it down.
