How do those claims stand up to scrutiny? According to the non-partisan CBO, <a href=\"http:\/\/thehill.com\/blogs\/on-the-money\/budget\/186307-cbo-obama-jobs-bill-reduces-budget-deficit\" target=\"_blank\">pretty well<\/a><font color=\"#0066cc\"><\/font>.<\/font><\/p>\n<p style=\"line-height: normal; margin: 0in 0in 0in 0.375in; font-family: \"><font style=\"font-size: 12pt\">The Congressional Budget Office on Friday confirmed that President Obama\u2019s jobs bill w<strong>ould be fully paid for over ten years and also gave its seal of approval to a Senate Democrat version that includes a surtax on millionaires<\/strong>. [\u2026] <\/font><\/p>\n<p style=\"line-height: normal; margin: 0in 0in 0in 0.375in; font-family: \"><font style=\"font-size: 12pt\">CBO also said that the bill \u201ccould have a noticeable impact on economic growth and employment in the next few years.\u201d<\/font><\/p>\n<p style=\"line-height: normal; margin: 0in; font-family: \"><font style=\"font-size: 12pt\"><strong>All told, the American Jobs Bill, the CBO concluded, would <span><em>reduce<\/em><\/span> the deficit by $3 billion over the next 10 years, and that doesn\u2019t factor in potential savings associated with increased revenue from a healthier economy<\/strong>.<\/font><\/p>\n<p style=\"line-height: normal; margin: 0in; font-family: \"><font style=\"font-size: 12pt\">The CBO\u2019s findings don\u2019t come as a big surprise \u2014 Democrats tend to take arithmetic seriously when crafting legislation \u2014 but they leave Republicans with no excuses for failure. <strong>The bill that\u2019s on the table, as objective matter, creates jobs, cuts taxes, is fully paid for, and reduces the deficit.
