To the GOP, this is a <a href=\"http:\/\/thinkprogress.org\/economy\/2011\/09\/20\/323765\/gop-high-taxes-destroy-jobs-false\/\" target=\"_blank\">surefire way<\/a> to ensure millionaires or \u201cjob creators\u201d do not invest in the economy. \u201cThe reason we tax cigarettes in this country is to get people to stop smoking,\u201d said House Budget Committee Chairman Paul Ryan (R-WI). \u201cIf you tax capital more, you get less capital. If you tax job creators more, <a href=\"http:\/\/blog.sfgate.com\/nov05election\/2011\/09\/26\/republicans-in-silicon-valley-explain-why-rich-guys-shouldnt-pay-more-taxes\/?tsp=1\" target=\"_blank\">you get fewer jobs<\/a>.\u201d <\/p>\n<p><strong>But a surprising group of people find that to be entirely untrue: the \u201cjob creators\u201d themselves<\/strong>.
