{"id":5834,"date":"2011-09-13T00:04:20","date_gmt":"2011-09-13T07:04:20","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.politicsplus.org\/blog\/?p=5834"},"modified":"2011-09-13T00:16:05","modified_gmt":"2011-09-13T07:16:05","slug":"republicans-attack-lgbt-from-behind","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.politicsplus.org\/blog\/2011\/09\/13\/republicans-attack-lgbt-from-behind\/","title":{"rendered":"Republicans attack LGBT from behind"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">When Republicans approach the issue of sexual identity, they seem unable for face the issue head on in their personal lives.\u00a0 Instead, as many act hatefully to gay people, they lurk in airport restrooms, anonymously reply to or post prurient ads where gay prostitutes can be found, groom congressional pages, etc.\u00a0 It appears that they also cannot even deal with gay marriage publicly without a sneak attack from behind.<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p style=\"line-height: normal; margin: 0in;\" align=\"left\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"background-image: none; padding-left: 0px; padding-right: 0px; display: inline; float: left; padding-top: 0px; border-width: 0px;\" title=\"13God-gays\" src=\"https:\/\/www.7thstep.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/09\/13God-gays.jpg\" alt=\"13God-gays\" width=\"360\" height=\"271\" align=\"left\" border=\"0\" \/>In a replay of the Republican <a href=\"http:\/\/www.afscme31.org\/news?id=0148\" target=\"_blank\">stealth attack on the labor movement in Wisconsin<\/a>, <strong>the GOP has launched a sneak attack on the LGBT community of gays, lesbians, transgendered and bisexual citizens in North Carolina<\/strong> &#8212; the nation&#8217;s most embattled battleground state.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"line-height: normal; margin: 0in;\" align=\"left\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">According to news reports <a href=\"http:\/\/www.wral.com\/news\/state\/nccapitol\/blogpost\/10111181\/\" target=\"_blank\">stemming<\/a> from WRAL-TV in Raleigh, <strong>the Republican covert operation to attack gay rights has been blown wide open<\/strong>. <\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"line-height: normal; margin: 0in;\" align=\"left\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">According to reports broadcast by Laura Leslie of WRAL, here is the scenario: <\/span><\/p>\n<ul style=\"line-height: normal; margin-top: 0in; padding-left: 0px; unicode-bidi: embed; direction: ltr; margin-bottom: 0in; margin-left: 0.75in;\" type=\"disc\">\n<li style=\"margin-top: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px; vertical-align: middle;\"><span><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">The North Carolina General Assembly will be the field of battle; <\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"margin-top: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px; vertical-align: middle;\"><span><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">The Republican Senate Caucus has launched a nefarious plan; <\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"margin-top: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px; vertical-align: middle;\"><span><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\"><strong>Under the guise of a debate on term limits, the Republicans will strip out the language of the bill and substitute a ban on gay marriage<\/strong>;<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"margin-top: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px; vertical-align: middle;\"><span><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">The same covert plan is operative in the NC House of Representatives and will run concurrently.<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"line-height: normal; margin: 0in;\" align=\"left\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">The Republicans&#8217; covert plan was leaked to WRAL by an anonymous whistleblower, who explained the extremist rationale behind the covert legislative strategy:<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"line-height: normal; margin: 0in 0in 0in 0.375in;\" align=\"left\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">&#8220;<strong>We need to reach out to them and get them (gays) to change their lifestyle back to the one we accept<\/strong>.&#8221;<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"line-height: normal; margin: 0in;\" align=\"left\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">The deliberate and stealthy Republican moves began to unfold on Friday. <strong>Senate staff attorney, Susan Sitze sent the new amendment against gay marriage to members of the Senate Judiciary I Committee.
