In fairness, William Gheen claims he is an Independent, not a Republican, which he was until three years ago.  Also, I am not tarring all Republicans here, just the leadership and a major segment of the base, especially within the Theocon and InsaniTEA wings of the party.  Nevertheless, I label this man\u2019s hate speech as Republican rhetoric, because his associates are Republican, his financing is Republican, and his ideas reflect the racism and violence of many Republican leaders, including members of Congress.<\/font><\/p>\n

\"GOPRacism\"While much of the political rhetoric on the right these days is laden with violent imagery and gun-based metaphors<\/strong>, outright calls for political violence remain relatively rare. But in the wake of President Obama\u2019s executive order last week that sharply limits deportations of non-criminal undocumented immigrants, that is changing.<\/p>\n

Yesterday, speaking<\/a> with far-right radio host Janet Mefferd, William Gheen<\/a>, the leader of the nativist group Americans for Legal Immigration PAC (ALIPAC), said that legal political activity may no longer be sufficient to protect America from immigrants<\/strong> \u2014 in particular, he made it clear, from non-white immigrants<\/strong>. Gheen, who in the past tried to appear a moderate on the nativist scene, wrote that in order to save \u201cwhite America,\u201d it will be necessary to engage in \u201cextra-political activities that I can\u2019t really talk about because they\u2019re all illegal and violent.\u201d<\/font><\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201cIf you\u2019re looking for a peaceful, political recourse, there really isn\u2019t one,\u201d he said\u2026 [emphasis added<\/em>]<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

The next time a \u201ccrazy person\u201d takes his words, or words like them, to heart and kills someone, Gheen and his Republican cronies will say, \u201cWho us?\u201d.  They may even accuse those, who point out their culpability, of a blood libel, to quote one bulls-eye wielding Republican.<\/font><\/p>\n
