Yesterday, I felt a little better and caught up on both sleep and replies to comments, but I still feel weak and tired.  Today I have a routine quarterly appointment with my podiatrist, so I\u2019ll be scarce.<\/font><\/p>\n

From The Nation<\/a>: <\/font>A day after Saturday’s Iowa Straw Poll results came in — Michele Bachman edged out Ron Paul with Tim Pawlenty a distant third, just ahead of Rick Santorum and nobody Herman Cain — Pawlenty pulled the plug on his flagging presidential campaign. What does this tell us? That our system of nominating presidential candidates is badly broken, beholden to a small number of extremist party activists<\/a> in a couple of arbitrarily chosen small, rural states and an unthinking media echo chamber.<\/p>\n

Pawlenty is crazy enough in his own right, but in that respect, he doesn\u2019t hold a candle to Bachmann, Paul, and Perry.<\/font><\/p>\n

From News Hounds<\/a>: <\/font>Yesterday (8\/13\/11), Fox News\u2019 regular Saturday morning \u201cbusiness block\u201d was pre-empted for a special with the fear-mongering title, \u201cOn the Brink.\u201d Not surprisingly, host Neil Cavuto followed in the footsteps of other<\/a> Fox<\/a> segments<\/a> and used the riots to fear monger that liberal policies might soon bring the same violence here.<\/p>\n

Yesterday, former member of British parliament John Browne spent his entire segment blaming socialism and liberalism as the culprit of the British riots \u2013 without challenge from Cavuto.<\/p>\n

And the sheeple said Ba-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a.<\/font><\/p>\n
