Joe Lieberman (I-CT)<\/font> <a href=\"http:\/\/blog.washingtonpost.com\/44\/2007\/12\/16\/lieberman_to_cross_aisle_for_m.html\" target=\"_blank\">supported<\/a> <font color=\"#000000\">Republican John McCain and<\/font> <a href=\"http:\/\/www.realclearpolitics.com\/articles\/2008\/09\/sen_liebermans_speech_to_the_r.html\" target=\"_blank\">attacked<\/a> <font color=\"#000000\">then-candidate Obama while speaking at the Republican National Committee. Though he currently caucuses with Democrats in the Senate, Lieberman has repeatedly stated that he views running for re-election in 2012 as an option.<\/font><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 0in; font-family: calibri; font-size: 11pt\"><font color=\"#000000\">In an interview on Connecticut\u2019s<\/font> <a href=\"http:\/\/dennishouse.wordpress.com\/2010\/01\/22\/lieberman-could-endorse-lamont-for-governor-mcmahon-for-senator\/\" target=\"_blank\">Face The State<\/a> <font color=\"#000000\">program this weekend, Lieberman once again said that it was \u201cpossible\u201d he could run for re-election as a Republican. Rob Simmons (R-CT).<\/font><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 0in; font-family: calibri; font-size: 11pt\"><font color=\"#000000\">It\u2019s not clear, however, how helpful Lieberman\u2019s support would be for any candidate in the Senate race.
