Many of you many be familiar with GoDaddy.com, a major Hosting Services Provider (HSP) from their somewhat titillating Super Bowl ads.  Such companies rarely find themselves in the political line of fire, but in this case, the company was just taken over by a big hedge fund with strong ties to Republican Party.  85% of KKR\u2019s political contributions go to Republicans<\/a>, and the remainder to DINOs.  Their head of Global Public Affairs is former RNC Chair, Ken Mehlman<\/a>.  This is no longer a safe place for lefty bloggers to do business.<\/font><\/p>\n

Web hosting company Go Daddy Group Inc [sic] announced on Friday it is being bought by a private equity consortium led by KKR and Silver Lake.<\/p>\n

The private equity buyers, which also include Technology Crossover ventures, will be purchasing the company for $2.25 billion including debt, a person close to the situation said.<\/p>\n

Go Daddy filed to go public in 2006, but withdrew its IPO due to poor market conditions…<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

I have no evidence that GoDaddy.com has throttled bandwidth based on the politics of their customers, and it would certainly take more than two days to put such a strategy into practice.  But, because they are now owned by RepubliCorp, I would not trust them not to do so.<\/font><\/p>\n

From now on, anyone who runs a website on GoDaddy.com will be indirectly supporting the  Republican Party.<\/font><\/p>\n

I am NOT advocating a boycott of any lefty blogs hosted on GoDaddy.com, but I\u2019m asking you to spread the word to bloggers you may know, and if they use this company as their HSP, suggest that they move elsewhere when their hosting contract expires.<\/font><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
