{"id":51773,"date":"2023-05-13T07:54:18","date_gmt":"2023-05-13T14:54:18","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.politicsplus.org\/blog\/?p=51773"},"modified":"2023-05-13T07:54:18","modified_gmt":"2023-05-13T14:54:18","slug":"visual-recap-of-a-great-week-with-more-to-come","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.politicsplus.org\/blog\/2023\/05\/13\/visual-recap-of-a-great-week-with-more-to-come\/","title":{"rendered":"Visual Recap of a GREAT Week &#8230; With More to Come!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>We can\u2019t leave the historic week of Trump being <u>UNANIMOUSLY<\/u> found <u>GUILTY<\/u> of <u>SEX ABUSE <\/u><em>AND<\/em> <u>DEFAMATION <\/u>in <u>UNDER<\/u> three hours without marking the occasion for posterity.<\/p>\n<p>There were a number of options open to me on how best to commemorate this historic marker, but I decided to go primarily with editorial cartoons.<\/p>\n<p>One of the surprising things I came across while doing my research was Fox News actually showing a clip of TFG\u2019s deposition where he incorrectly identifies his victim, E. Jean Carroll \u2013 someone he has repeatedly claimed as <strong><em>\u201cNot my type\u201d<\/em><\/strong>, as Marla Maples, his second wife.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Trump mistakes E. clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>And then when his mistake is pointed out to him, he immediately responds that the photo was \u201cvery blurry\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>For the record, here\u2019s the actual photo marked as an Exhibit that was shown to TFG <em>(blurry, my A$$)<\/em>:<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" honest, I have no idea why his team of lawyers (NOT exactly a stellar lineup) let Trump repeatedly go with his \u201cNot my type\u201d as a defense.\u00a0 It implies that if Ms. Carroll <u>were<\/u> his type, then his sexual abuse of her would have been OK.]<\/em><\/p>\n<p>In going through dozens and dozens of cartoons the most common theme was Lady Justice exacting her well-deserved retribution.\u00a0 So I put them together as a GIF and grouped similar ones sequentially.<\/p>\n<p>I\u2019ll let Ms. Carroll introduce the other Lady Justices:<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" individual cartoons, I particularly enjoyed the one with Ms. Carroll doing a parody of Trump\u2019s infamous Access Hollywood quote:<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" few that focused on his tiny hands \u2013 and I particularly got a kick out of the one mocking his itsy-bitsy, teeny-weeny paws:<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter drawing raises a frequent question with folks wondering that since TFG was found GUILTY of sexual abuse, will he have to register as a sex offender.\u00a0 Unfortunately for us (but fortunately for him) the answer is no.\u00a0 Since this was a civil lawsuit rather than criminal case, he will not have to register.<\/p>\n<p>But I still enjoyed this cartoon by Clay Bennett dealing with that couple of times I\u2019ve read about Team TFG really searching for a silver lining by pointing out that while found guilty of sexual abuse, he was <em>not<\/em> found guilty of rape:<\/p>\n<p><img the classic joke asking Abraham Lincoln\u2019s wife:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><strong>\u201cOther than <em><u>that<\/u><\/em> Mrs. Lincoln, how was your night at the theater?\u201d<\/strong><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Trump has long voiced thoughts that he belongs up on Mount Rushmore \u2013 even Tweeting out a picture of himself lined up like a fifth face.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"zxx\" dir=\"ltr\"><a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/FPSif7Ieff\">pic.twitter.com\/FPSif7Ieff<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&mdash; Donald J.
