Ten years ago, on June 7, 2001, then-President George W. Bush signed into law a package of tax cuts that would transform surpluses into deficits and inflict serious damage on our nation\u2019s fiscal health. <\/font><\/p>\n<p style=\"line-height: normal; margin: 0in; font-family: \" align=\"left\"><font style=\"font-size: 12pt\">To mark this disastrous policy, the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.epi.org\/page\/-\/EPI_PolicyMemorandum_184.pdf\" target=\"_blank\">Economic Policy Institute has released 10 facts to note about the Bush-era tax cuts on their 10th anniversary<\/a><font color=\"#0066cc\"><\/font> (PDF). Those 10 facts, with data to back them up, are:<\/font><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>\n<div style=\"margin-top: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px; vertical-align: middle\"><span style=\"font-family: \"><font style=\"font-size: 12pt\">The Bush tax cuts disproportionately benefited the wealthy<\/font><\/span> <\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<div style=\"margin-top: 0px;
