Paul Ryan (R-Wis.), former Vice President Dick Cheney said Wednesday. <\/p>\n<p><font color=\"#ff0000\"><strong>Cheney offered high praise for the House Budget Committee chairman, saying: \u201cI worship the ground that Paul Ryan walks on.\u201d<\/strong><\/font> <\/p>\n<p>But the vice president <a href=\"http:\/\/fuelfix.com\/blog\/2011\/05\/25\/dick-cheney-arab-uprisings-unlikely-to-disrupt-oil-flows-for-long\/\" target=\"_blank\">said<\/a> at a KPMG Global Energy Institute event in Houston that he hoped Ryan would resist a run for the White House. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cI hope he doesn\u2019t run for president, because that would ruin a good man who has a lot of work to do,\u201d Cheney said, according to The Houston Chronicle. <\/p>\n<p>Ryan&#8217;s name has repeatedly come up for a number of higher offices. When Sen. Herb Kohl (D-Wis.) announced his decision not to seek another term, Ryan was touted as a strong Republican candidate to win the seat.
