Blame the Damn Republicans!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><font color=\"#0000ff\">NFL fans will know that a strike threatens the 2011-12 season.&#160; Many won\u2019t care, but I\u2019m in the Church of the Ellipsoid Orb, and on opening day, that orb had better be carried, passed and kicked!&#160; Players want to train and practice, and owners want to lock them out.&#160; The owners found a court so Republican that they would rule for the billionaires over the millionaires.&#160; Damn Republicans!<\/font><\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"display: inline; float: left\" title=\"18NFL\" alt=\"18NFL\" align=\"left\" src=\"https:\/\/www.7thstep.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/05\/18NFL.png\" width=\"360\" height=\"264\" \/>Monday evening\u2019s court ruling indicates that the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.washingtonpost.com\/sports\/redskins\" target=\"_blank\">NFL<\/a> finally might have found what it wants after years of resounding defeats in the nation\u2019s courts: a business-friendly panel of appellate judges who can help the league turn the tables on players in the legal dispute that threatens the 2011 season.<\/p>\n<p>Players\u2019 hopes of returning to work immediately were extinguished when the Midwestern appellate judges blocked a lower court\u2019s order to end football\u2019s shutdown, virtually ensuring that players will remain on the sideline at least into the summer.
