Based on the results last November, I cant say I\u2019m happy with the job Tim Kaine has done.  He played defense and dis so quite poorly.  He had little appeal to progressives.  I consider his replacement, Debbie Wasserman Schultz, to be much better choice and am pleased with her selection.<\/font><\/p>\n

\"5schultz\"Newly elected Democratic National Committee Chairwoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz vowed to aggressively fight Republicans in next year’s elections and help elect President Obama to a second term.<\/p>\n

"Let no charge go unanswered. Let no man or woman bear false witness against a Democrat and let no voter cast a ballot for a Republican simply because they don’t know what Democrats have done for them or what Republicans have done to them<\/strong>," said Wasserman Schultz, a Florida congresswoman.<\/p>\n

She was formally elected by acclimation at today’s DNC meeting.<\/p>\n

After the vote, President Obama called in to the meeting to congratulate his choice to lead the party and praised her skills as a multitasker.<\/p>\n

"I am reminded of something that Michelle said: If you need something done, give it to a busy woman<\/strong>," Obama said. "Thank you for affirming my selection. Debbie is the right person for the moment, not only because she has got great strategic sense and unbelievable energy. …She embodies the core values of what we cherish in America."…  [emphasis added<\/em>]<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n
