We all knew it was only a matter of time before Mitt tossed his hat into the ring, making him the second serious candidate in a field of fools.  He may be the best the Republicans have to offer, but his record is so bad and his judgment so poor that nobody in their right mind should want to vote for him.<\/font><\/p>\n

\"12Romney\"Former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney formed a presidential exploratory committee Monday that will allow him to raise money for a near-certain run for the Republican presidential nomination in 2012.<\/p>\n

"It is time that we put America back on a course of greatness with a growing economy, good jobs and fiscal discipline in Washington," Romney said in an online video announcing his intentions.<\/p>\n

In the video, Romney focuses almost exclusively on the economy, touting his experience in creating jobs and balancing budgets in the private sector<\/strong>. He makes no mention of health care or his decision as governor to sign a law that has been unfavorably compared by some Republicans to the plan put in place by President Obama last year.<\/p>\n

The video was shot at the University of New Hampshire, emphasizing Romney’s plan to put the Granite State at the center of his blueprint to win the GOP nomination.<\/p>\n

Romney is the second major Republican candidate to form an exploratory committee. Last month, former Minnesota Gov. Tim Pawlenty did the same. An announcement from Mississippi Gov. Haley Barbour about his intentions is expected to come later this month.<\/p>\n

Romney’s move was entirely expected. He has been preparing to run for president from almost the moment he came up short against Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz., in 2008 and enters the race as its front-runner<\/strong>\u2026 [emphasis added<\/em>]<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

One good thing for him is that Blood-libel Barbie opposes him.<\/font><\/p>\n

Despite, his other shortcomings, an incident in his past demonstrates that he lacks the judgment and compassion needed to be President.<\/font><\/p>\n

But the details of the event are more than unseemly \u2014 they may, in fact, be illegal. <\/p>\n

The incident: dog excrement found on the roof and windows of the Romney station wagon. How it got there: Romney strapped a dog carrier \u2014 with the family dog Seamus, an Irish Setter, in it \u2014 to the roof of the family station wagon for a twelve hour drive from Boston to Ontario, which the family apparently completed, despite Seamus’s rather visceral protest<\/strong>\u2026 [emphasis added<\/em>]<\/p>\n

Given the condition of the windows, the family had to know their pet was suffering and opted to continue on.  Now I\u2019m not saying we should condemn the man for something that happened years ago. I\u2019m all for forgiveness and giving folks another chance. But we shouldn\u2019t give a bank robber a job as a teller, and you don\u2019t put this man in a job that requires good judgment tempered by compassion.  If I were Seamus, I wouldn\u2019t vote for him.<\/font><\/font><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
