One week from today, time runs out on the last budget extension so Republicans are once again holding America hostage with threats of a government shutdown.  Rumors of compromise abound, but any deal in which the super-rich and criminal corporations do not share in the sacrifice is no compromise.  It is surrender to Republican terrorism.  Bernie Sanders is a strong voice for the truth in this.<\/font><\/p>\n

The White House’s Republican foes had originally sought $100 billion in cuts from President Barack Obama’s 2011 budget request, in a bid to fulfill a campaign pledge to reduce spending for federal agencies to pre-Obama levels.<\/p>\n

If this is true, there is still no agreement about what will be cut, and Republicans have horrific plans for that.  None of these cuts would be necessary if Bernie Sanders had his way, as he reveals in a discussion with Ed Schultz.<\/font><\/p>\n
