{"id":4213,"date":"2011-03-04T06:06:02","date_gmt":"2011-03-04T14:06:02","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.politicsplus.org\/blog\/?p=4213"},"modified":"2011-03-04T06:06:02","modified_gmt":"2011-03-04T14:06:02","slug":"the-republican-foreclosure-program-yoyo","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.politicsplus.org\/blog\/2011\/03\/04\/the-republican-foreclosure-program-yoyo\/","title":{"rendered":"The Republican Foreclosure Program: YOYO!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><font color=\"#0000ff\">Foreclosure has been one of the greatest problems poor and middle class Americans have had to face as a result of the Republican recession.&#160; Foreclosure assistance programs have not gone far enough to help Main Street.&#160; The Republican party has a plan to aid troubled homeowners that demonstrates their compassion and fairness.<\/font><\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"display: inline; float: left\" title=\"GOPForeclose\" alt=\"GOPForeclose\" align=\"left\" src=\"https:\/\/www.7thstep.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/03\/GOPForeclose.jpg\" width=\"360\" height=\"349\" \/>Recent price data show <strong>home values at nearly their lowest levels in the postbubble era<\/strong>, and a coming tide of foreclosures means prices will drop further. <strong>Seven million families have lost their homes so far, and another three million foreclosures are expected through 2012<\/strong>. <\/p>\n<p>The ongoing crash is further evidence that the government\u2019s antiforeclosure efforts have fallen short and America\u2019s struggling homeowners need more help. <\/p>\n<p>So what are House Republicans proposing? <strong>They want the government to get out of the antiforeclosure business altogether and leave homeowners to fend for themselves<\/strong>.
