{"id":41758,"date":"2020-11-06T14:48:56","date_gmt":"2020-11-06T22:48:56","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.politicsplus.org\/blog\/?p=41758"},"modified":"2020-11-06T14:54:52","modified_gmt":"2020-11-06T22:54:52","slug":"41758","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.politicsplus.org\/blog\/2020\/11\/06\/41758\/","title":{"rendered":"Friday Fun: I Guess We All Pray Differently"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Truth be told, I actually wasn&#8217;t going to do a <em>Friday Fun<\/em> because I&#8217;ve been gloomy about the election.\u00a0 (Although it now looks like we might very well have a <strong><em><u>LANDSIDE<\/u><\/em><\/strong> Electoral College victory!)<\/p>\n<p>But then, courtesy of <strong><em>Right Wing Watch<\/em><\/strong>, I came across Trump&#8217;s &#8220;spiritual advisor&#8221; \u2013 Paula White \u2013 leading a prayer to turn the results around to make him win.\u00a0 I wanted to make sure to share with you guys &amp; gals how far off the tracks the Trump Train has gone.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Presidential spiritual adviser Paula White is currently leading an impassioned prayer service in an effort to secure Trump&#39;s reelection. <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/hCSRh84d6g\">pic.twitter.com\/hCSRh84d6g<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&mdash; Right Wing Watch (@RightWingWatch) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/RightWingWatch\/status\/1324175651515949056?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">November 5, 2020<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p>Those not familiar with Paula White, a talibangelical christianist and Grifter-Supreme, of course she has a very <a href=\"https:\/\/www.distractify.com\/p\/paula-white-scandal\">scandalous background<\/a> \u2013 including multiple marriages, bankruptcies and having her &#8220;church&#8221; investigated by the <a href=\"https:\/\/thegrio.com\/2020\/11\/05\/white-trump-prayer-service\/\">Senate Finance Committee from 2007 through 2011<\/a>.\u00a0 Is it any wonder Trump would pick her as an &#8220;advisor&#8221;?<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Oh, and if you want to scroll through some views of her $1.1+ MILLION home in Florida (naturally), be my guest:<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.realtor.com\/realestateandhomes-detail\/421-Kentucky-Blue-Cir_Apopka_FL_32712_M64552-07882#photo0\">https:\/\/www.realtor.com\/realestateandhomes-detail\/421-Kentucky-Blue-Cir_Apopka_FL_32712_M64552-07882#photo0<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Back to the &#8220;prayer&#8221; \u2013 I did find a Transcript of what she was saying:<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.newsweek.com\/paula-white-prayers-viral-memes-remixes-1545153\">White is heard saying:<\/a><\/p>\n<blockquote><p><em>&#8220;Strike, strike, strike until you have victory, for every enemy that is aligned against you, let there be that we would strike the ground for you will give us victory, God.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>&#8220;I hear a sound of an abundance of rain, I hear a sound of victory, I hear a sound of shouting and singing, I hear a sound of victory.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>White repeats the &#8220;I hear a sound of an abundance of rain, I hear a sound of victory,&#8221; a couple of times and then says: &#8220;The Lord says it is done, the Lord says it is done, the Lord says it is done.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>&#8220;For I hear victory, victory, victory, victory in the quarters of heaven, in the quarters of heaven I hear victory&#8230;<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>&#8220;For angels are being released right now, angels are being dispatched right now, [speaks in tongues] for angels have even been dispatched from Africa right now, Africa right now, Africa right now, they&#8217;re coming here, they&#8217;re coming here in the name of Jesus, from South America, they&#8217;re coming here&#8230;&#8221;<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>As you can imagine, there are literally dozens and dozens of music remixes to her &#8220;supplication&#8221; \u2013 which all are lost on me.\u00a0 So I&#8217;ll stick to the ones that have a visual impact.<\/p>\n<p>While most cats were incredulous \u2026<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"und\" dir=\"ltr\"><a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/F3kdPpR42F\">pic.twitter.com\/F3kdPpR42F<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&mdash; modern goat (@modern_goat) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/modern_goat\/status\/1324348719051911169?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">November 5, 2020<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p>There was one who definitely was feeling the beat \u2026<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">well sorry <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/Eminem?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">@Eminem<\/a> for that.
