I\u2019m afraid I\u2019m having another bad air day.  I\u2019ve already had two COPD attacks severe enough to knock me out, so when I get done posting I\u2019m returning to bed.  I even cancelled my volunteer work this evening.  I will return to visiting blogs as soon as I can.  I am up to date with comments here, though.<\/font><\/p>\n

From NY Times<\/a>: <\/font>Barack Obama announced on Thursday that former Federal Reserve Chairman Paul Volcker was stepping down from his role as head of an outside panel advising the White House on economic policy.<\/p>\n

Except for Warren, Volker was his best economic advisor.  This does not bode well.<\/font><\/p>\n

From Salon<\/a>: <\/font>A government analysis says that discharging gay service members cost the Pentagon nearly $200 million from 2004 to 2009. The money went mainly to recruit and train replacements.<\/p>\n

Rick Santorum (R-PA) doesn’t understand how President Obama could not answer whether a "human life" is protected by the Constitution from the moment of conception: "The question is — and this is what Barack Obama didn’t want to answer — is that human life a person under the Constitution?
