{"id":3815,"date":"2011-01-08T09:56:40","date_gmt":"2011-01-08T17:56:40","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.politicsplus.org\/blog\/?p=3815"},"modified":"2011-01-08T09:56:40","modified_gmt":"2011-01-08T17:56:40","slug":"the-republicare-death-angel-remains-silent","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.politicsplus.org\/blog\/2011\/01\/08\/the-republicare-death-angel-remains-silent\/","title":{"rendered":"The RepubliCare Death Angel Remains Silent"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><font color=\"#0000ff\">For me to give high praise to a Republican is a very rare thing, but never let it be said that I won\u2019t give credit fairly when credit is due.&#160; Steven Daglas, an Illinois Republican has listed twenty six different ways that that the RepubliCare Death Angel, Jan Brewer, can fund organ transplants for Arizona Medicaid patients.&#160; She can limit her body count to two victims murdered by her <a href=\"https:\/\/www.7thstep.org\/blog\/?p=3800\" target=\"_blank\">RepubliCare Death Panel<\/a>.&#160; All she has to do is pick one of Daglas\u2019 twenty six solutions.&#160; But the RepubliCare Death Angel remains silent.<\/font><\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p align=\"left\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"background-image: none; border-right-width: 0px; padding-left: 0px; padding-right: 0px; display: inline; float: left; border-top-width: 0px; border-bottom-width: 0px; border-left-width: 0px; padding-top: 0px\" title=\"8brewer\" border=\"0\" alt=\"8brewer\" align=\"left\" src=\"https:\/\/www.7thstep.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/01\/8brewer.jpg\" width=\"295\" height=\"350\" \/>A few months back a 30-year-old Republican professional from Chicago was reading news articles about cuts to Arizona&#8217;s transplant program and wondered if there was <strong>a way for him to help<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p align=\"left\">His name is <strong>Steven Daglas<\/strong> and he says that he was particularly struck by the story of Seton Catholic High School assistant basketball coach Tiffany Tate, a 27-year-old with cystic fibrosis who, owing to the cuts, is no longer eligible for a double lung transplant.<\/p>\n<p align=\"left\">\u201cI&#8217;ve only been on this Earth three years more than Tiffany,\u201d Daglas told me. \u201cI&#8217;ve done some political work in the past and I thought, well, I understand how policy works so <strong>I wondered if there were ways to find this money. So I went through thousands of pages of stuff and I came up with these ideas<\/strong>.\u201d<\/p>\n<p align=\"left\">Those thousands of pages included the entire state budget, along with \u201caudits, briefings and financial reports from the Auditor General, JLBC, AHCCCS and others.\u201d<\/p>\n<p align=\"left\">At the end of his research Daglas came up with what he believes to be <strong>26 possible ways to restore funding for the transplants<\/strong>\u2026 [<em>emphasis added<\/em>]<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Inserted from &lt;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.azcentral.com\/members\/Blog\/EJMontini\/113156\" target=\"_blank\">Arizona Central Daily<\/a>&gt;<\/p>\n<p><font color=\"#0000ff\">Kudos to Rep.
