Please consider this hypothetical situation.\u00a0 When I was in the hospital Tuesday for my Cat Scan, I could have insisted that I am the King of Israel and that I am God’s Chosen One.\u00a0 I didn’t.\u00a0 How do you know?\u00a0 If I had, they would have thrown a net over over me and tossed me behind a locked door.\u00a0 Well, that’s exactly what Resident Donald Trump, Fuhrer of the Republican Reich did, while demeaning Jews by repeating anti-Semitic claims from racist and conspiracy theorist Wayne Allyn Root<\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n

President Trump on Wednesday tweeted a fawning quote from a non-Jewish conservative radio host who described Trump as the \u201cKing of Israel<\/strong>\u201d and who said, without evidence, that Israeli Jews \u201clove him like he is the second coming of God<\/strong>.\u201d<\/p>\n

Trump\u2019s tweets cited Wayne Allyn Root, who described himself in a 2016 Townhall column as a \u201cJew turned evangelical Christian<\/a>\u201d and has promoted several conspiracy theories in the past, including that President Barack Obama was not born in the United States and that he is gay.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe Jewish people in Israel love him like he\u2019s the King of Israel,\u201d Trump quoted Root as saying. \u201cThey love him like he is the second coming of God…But American Jews don\u2019t know him or like him. They don\u2019t even know what they\u2019re doing or saying anymore.\u201d\u2026<\/p>\n

\u2026Trump\u2019s tweets made \u201cKing of Israel\u201d the leading trending topic of the day on Twitter, generating many baffled and outraged responses. Later Wednesday, Trump said<\/a> \u201cI am the chosen one<\/strong>\u201d to fix the U.S. trade imbalance with China, as he looked to the sky.\u00a0 [emphasis added<\/em>]<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
