I started a topic that I think is very interesting \u2013 but the more I researched, the bigger it got.\u00a0 I\u2019m hoping I can put it together for next week.\u00a0 So I\u2019m moving to Plan \u201cB\u201d<\/em><\/strong>: Odds & Ends<\/em><\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Do you happen to remember Pamela Taylor<\/em><\/strong>?\u00a0 She\u2019s the Trumpkin<\/em> who called Michelle Obama<\/strong> an \u201cape in heels\u201d.<\/p>\n

Pamela was<\/em><\/strong> director of the Clay County (WV) Development Corporation who posted this comment on her Facebook page about then then-first lady Michelle Obama right after the 2016 election.<\/p>\n

“It will be refreshing to have a classy, beautiful, dignified First Lady in the White House. I’m tired of seeing a (sic) Ape in heels.” <\/em><\/strong><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

To which fellow Trumpkin<\/em>, Clay County Mayor Beverly Whaling<\/em><\/strong> responded, “Just made my day Pam.\u201d<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

After the predictable social media firestorm, both women later apologized.\u00a0 Plus Pamela was fired and Whaling resigned.<\/p>\n

It gets better!<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0 Turns out that after a 1,000-year disastrous flood in Clay County that killed 23 people, Pamela thought it\u2019d be a good idea to help herself to some FEMA funds.\u00a0 So she fraudulently applied for, and received, over $18,000 from FEMA claiming her house was so damaged that she had to live elsewhere.<\/p>\n

BUT<\/em> she got caught living in her undamaged house that was not near the flooding.\u00a0 She had little choice, so she pleaded guilty to defrauding FEMA!\u00a0 She\u2019s already agreed to reimburse the $18,149.04 she stole from FEMA AND<\/em> will be sentenced this coming May 30th<\/sup> for her embezzlement \u2013 so mark your calendars.<\/p>\n

She faces up 30 years in prison and a fine up to $500,000!<\/p>\n

Remember when Rethuglicans tried claim they were the party of Lincoln?\u00a0 With stories like this combined with the endless lying and malfeasance of Twitler<\/strong><\/em> is it any wonder that this sculpture \u2013 titled \u201cLiberty Crumbling\u201d<\/em><\/strong> \u2013 by Damon Langlois<\/strong><\/a> (who happens to hail from Victoria, BC) won First Place in the 2019 Texas Sandfest<\/em><\/strong><\/a>?<\/p>\n

But we need something more upbeat.\u00a0 How about a huge Hat Tip<\/u><\/strong> to a quick-thinking school bus driver with incredibly fast reflexes.\u00a0 One shudders to think what might have happened.\u00a0 Matt is one lucky boy!<\/p>\n
