Trump, despite the common mindset, is not the problem.\u00a0 If he were, the House would have passed Articles of Impeachment, and enough principled Republicans would have joined with Democrats in the Senate to convict and remove Trump from office.\u00a0 Why hasn’t that happened?\u00a0 The Senate has no principled Republicans.\u00a0 They all goose-step with their Majority Fuhrer, Bought Bitch Mitch McConnell.\u00a0 He says, “Case closed!”<\/span><\/p>\n

Senator Mitch McConnell, the majority leader, called on Congress on Tuesday to move on from the Mueller report and issued his own verdict from the Senate floor: \u201cCase closed.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cWith an exhaustive investigation complete, would the country finally unify to confront the real challenges before us?\u201d Mr. McConnell said. \u201cOr would we remain consumed by unhinged partisanship, and keep dividing ourselves to the point that Putin and his agents need only stand on the sidelines and watch as their job is done for them?\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cRegrettably,\u201d he continued, \u201cthe answer is obvious.\u201d<\/p>\n

Mr. McConnell\u2019s speech pointed up the profound gap between the Republican-controlled Senate and the Democrat-controlled House. House Democrats are locked in an escalating fight with President Trump, who is trying to slam shut House investigations of all sorts.
