She is so honored for lying repeatedly in service of her adored Fuhrer and the Republican Reich.<\/font>  <\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" style=\"border-left-width: 0px; border-right-width: 0px; background-image: none; border-bottom-width: 0px; float: left; padding-top: 0px; padding-left: 0px; display: inline; padding-right: 0px; border-top-width: 0px\" border=\"0\" src=\"https:\/\/www.7thstep.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/01\/Sarah-Huckabee-Sanders_Hamburglar.gif\" align=\"left\">Press secretary Sarah Sanders was <a href=\"https:\/\/www.vox.com\/2019\/4\/18\/18485512\/mueller-report-trump-lies-sarah-sanders\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">caught lying several times<\/a> in special counsel Robert <a href=\"https:\/\/www.vox.com\/policy-and-politics\/2017\/3\/22\/15031532\/mueller-report-investigation-russia-trump\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Mueller\u2019s report<\/a>, and now she\u2019s defending herself with more misdirections.  <\/p>\n<p>During a string of media appearances following the release of the Mueller report on Thursday, Sanders has faced questions about a claim she made during a May 2017 press briefing that she later admitted was false during testimony to Mueller\u2019s team. In an attempt to justify President Donald Trump\u2019s decision to fire then FBI director James Comey, Sanders told reporters that \u201c<strong>countless members of the FBI<\/strong>\u201d had contacted her to say they had lost confidence in Comey, when in fact that wasn\u2019t the case.  <\/p>\n<p>On Thursday evening and Friday morning, Sanders <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/atrupar\/status\/1119069752972984321\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">repeatedly<\/a> downplayed that lie as a mere \u201c<strong>slip of the tongue<\/strong>.\u201d But as ABC\u2019s George Stephanopoulos pointed out to her in an interview on Friday morning, <strong>she used the line about \u201ccountless members of the FBI\u201d multiple times in the days following Comey\u2019s firing \u2014 a revelation undercutting her claim that she merely misspoke<\/strong>.  <\/p>\n<p>\u201cYou said it was a \u2018slip of the tongue\u2019 when you talked about \u2018countless FBI members,\u2019 yet you repeated it twice the very next day,\u201d Stephanopoulos said. \u201cThat\u2019s not a slip of the tongue, Sarah, that\u2019s a deliberate false statement.\u201d  <\/p>\n<p><strong>Sanders, however, refused to own it, and bizarrely blamed her lie on Democrats<\/strong>&#8230;.&nbsp; [<em>emphasis added<\/em>]<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p><font color=\"#0000ff\">Inserted from &lt;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.vox.com\/2019\/4\/19\/18507639\/sarah-sanders-george-stephanopoulos-mueller-report-lie-comey\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Vox<\/a>&gt;<\/font>  <\/p>\n<p><font color=\"#0000ff\">Well, I suppose it was &#8220;countless&#8221; to the extent that one cannot count to zero.<\/font>  <\/p>\n<p><font color=\"#0000ff\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=P_83x218-84\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Lawrence O&#8217;Donnell<\/a> has more.<\/font>  <\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<iframe loading=\"lazy\" height=\"360\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube-nocookie.com\/embed\/P_83x218-84\" frameborder=\"0\" width=\"640\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe> <\/p>\n<p><font color=\"#0000ff\">Here&#8217;s what amazes me most.&nbsp; I can&#8217;t believe that this is Upchuckabee&#8217;s first parade?&nbsp; How did such an obvious recipient slip under my radar for so long?!!?
