He is so honored for holding a press conference, in which he banned reporters from media he did not consider sufficiently &#8220;faith based&#8221;.<\/font>  <\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" title=\"0324Pompeo\" style=\"border-left-width: 0px; border-right-width: 0px; background-image: none; border-bottom-width: 0px; float: left; padding-top: 0px; padding-left: 0px; display: inline; padding-right: 0px; border-top-width: 0px\" border=\"0\" alt=\"0324Pompeo\" src=\"https:\/\/www.7thstep.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/03\/0324Pompeo.jpg\" width=\"360\" align=\"left\" height=\"318\">The State Department not only barred reporters from nonreligious outlets from covering a briefing call about international religious freedom with Secretary of State Mike Pompeo on Monday but also refused <strong>to release a list of people who participated in the event or even a transcript of what Pompeo said<\/strong>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnn.com\/2019\/03\/18\/politics\/state-department-faith-outlets-briefing\/index.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">according to CNN<\/a>.  <\/p>\n<p>CNN reported that only \u201cfaith-based media\u201d were allowed to take part in the event and that <strong>the State Department wouldn\u2019t answer questions \u201cabout whether a range of faiths was included<\/strong>.\u201d Pompeo <a href=\"https:\/\/www.vox.com\/identities\/2018\/3\/15\/17117298\/mike-pompeo-trump-secretary-of-state-politics-battle-evangelical-holy-war-christian\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">adheres to a fervent brand of evangelical Christianity<\/a> and once characterized politics as \u201ca never-ending struggle &#8230; until the rapture.\u201d\u2026  <\/p>\n<p>\u2026In a statement to CNN, a State Department spokesperson justified barring reporters from Monday\u2019s event by characterizing it as \u201cdesigned\u201d for \u201caudience-specific media,\u201d as opposed to \u201c[d]epartment press briefings, teleconferences on a myriad of policy issues, briefings and sprays by the Secretary of State and other officials\u201d that are open to all media outlets&#8230; <\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p><font color=\"#0000ff\">Inserted from &lt;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.vox.com\/policy-and-politics\/2019\/3\/19\/18272529\/mike-pompeo-briefing-faith-based-media\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Vox<\/a>&gt;<\/font>  <\/p>\n<p><font color=\"#0000ff\">Because of Pompeo considers the world as a jihad between good (people who share hid pseudo-Christian heresy) and evil (everyone else), I doubt that anyone with other than pseudo-believers were invited.<\/font><\/p>\n<p><font color=\"#0000ff\">Watch how he squirmed when <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=PjTG28W4jKw\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Corey Booker grilled him<\/a> during the confirmation process.<\/font><\/p>\n<p><font color=\"#0000ff\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" height=\"360\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube-nocookie.com\/embed\/PjTG28W4jKw\" frameborder=\"0\" width=\"640\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/font>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><font color=\"#0000ff\">Any Republican that briefs select media only deserves a parade.<\/font><\/p>\n<h1 align=\"center\"><font style=\"font-weight: bold\" color=\"#0000ff\">RESIST!!<\/font><\/h1>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Here is the one hundred fifty-fourth article in our Republicans on Parade series, featuring individuals who personify what the Republican Party has become.
