During the health care debate a Republican meme spread from Fox and other disreputable sources, through the main stream media, all the way to the floor of the US House and Senate.  Obamacare, they said, would employ death panels.  Few if any realized at that point that this was the common Republican tactic of accusing Democrats of what they themselves were doing or planning to do.  Republicans are now sponsoring death panels, both at home and abroad.<\/font><\/p>\n

On the home front we have Arizona\u2019s Republican Death Panel.<\/font><\/p>\n

\"10death1\"\u2026Gov. Jan Brewer and the Republican-controlled legislature say that it’s all about the huge budget deficits facing the state, $825 million this year and $1.4 billion next.<\/p>\n

The governor says that she won’t consider restoring transplant services to the seriously ill patients previously covered under the Arizona Health Care Cost Containment System until the black hole in the budget is plugged<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

That’s not an answer, it’s a ploy. It’s a political chess move with dying people as pawns.<\/p>\n

The governor’s death panel will save roughly $1.4 million this year by cutting transplant services. That’s $1.4 million in an overall budget of roughly $9 BILLION<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

To suggest that we need to kill people because we can’t find $1.4 million to cut from a $9 billion budget is not only cruel, it’s insulting.<\/p>\n

But then, this is not a new game.<\/p>\n

Some members of the legislature have been trying to eliminate aspects of the AHCCCS transplant coverage for years<\/strong>\u2026 [emphasis added<\/em>]<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

If that is not a death panel, what is?  But this does not even hold a candle to the scope of the death panel Republicans are sponsoring abroad, in Uganda.<\/font><\/p>\n

David Bahati, a Ugandan pawn of the famiily<\/em>, the pseudo-Christian Republican Theocon organization that owns C-Street, infamous for helping Republicans caught in sex scandals, introduced Uganda\u2019s kill the gays<\/strong><\/em> bill.<\/font><\/p>\n

\"10death2\"David Bahati, the Ugandan parliamentarian who introduced the Anti-Homosexuality Bill\u2013legislation that proposes the death penalty for certain cases of \u201caggravated homosexuality,\u201d<\/strong> is in the United States this week for meetings. Paul LeGendre, Human Rights First\u2019s Fighting Discrimination program director,  debated Bahati on Voice of America yesterday\u2026<\/font><\/font><\/p>\n

\u2026LeGendre stressed:<\/font><\/font><\/p>\n

The rights of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and intersex people are fundamental human rights. And this bill in a fundamental way violates those rights by discriminating against people based on sexual orientation and gender identity through imprisonment and execution.<\/font><\/font><\/p>\n

In response to Bahati\u2019s claim that the bill defends families, LeGendre protested and said that the bill \u201cbreaks up families and society through bigotry and discrimination.\u201d\u2026 [emphasis added<\/em>]<\/font><\/font><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

If the appropriate penalty for sexual sin is death, as he claims, way aren\u2019t Republicans calling for the death of John Ensign or Diaper Dave Vitter?  Only for gays?  How about Larry Craig?  Fortunately, the State Department kicked him out of the country.<\/font><\/p>\n

\"10death3\"Bye- Bye Bahati.  Sources have informed LGR that David Bahati ,who was taped for yesterday and today\u2019s Rachel Maddow Show, was told to get out of the USA by authorities Thursday.<\/p>\n

Bahati had planned on staying in the USA; he could leave over the weekend, but he was asked to leave right away by Department of State  officials.  He had been banned and refused entry to the conference which was the  basis for his  his single event VISA to enter the USA<\/strong>.  When he showed up for the Conference he was asked by Organizers to leave and refused entry, despite the fact that other MP\u2019s from Uganda had been allowed to participate.<\/p>\n

The organizers cited the fact that they would not associate themselves with the Author of what became known as the Kill Gays Bill, officially The Anti-Homosexual Bill; which Bahati hopes will pass in Uganda in the Spring.<\/p>\n

Authorities informed Bahati that he was no longer welcome and nor was he legally entitled to remain in the USA.  He was put on a plane for Paris and is probably in the sky as we spea<\/strong>k… [emphasis added<\/em>]<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Do there we have it.  Republicans are using Uganda as a test case for social engineering.  This is not the first time.  An earlier example of social engineering in a foreign country by Republicans is Chile\u2019s government under Agosto Pinochet.<\/font><\/p>\n
