{"id":3574,"date":"2010-12-09T01:56:14","date_gmt":"2010-12-09T09:56:14","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.politicsplus.org\/blog\/?p=3574"},"modified":"2010-12-09T01:57:03","modified_gmt":"2010-12-09T09:57:03","slug":"cyber-war-over-wikileaks","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.politicsplus.org\/blog\/2010\/12\/09\/cyber-war-over-wikileaks\/","title":{"rendered":"Cyber War Over Wikileaks"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">I haven\u2019t had much to say over the Wikileaks controversy so, mainly because I have been preoccupied with other issues that I considered more important at the time.\u00a0 Now, however, online activists, for good or ill, have responded to Obama administration attempts to silence Julian Assange, using tactics reminiscent of Nixon\u2019s pursuit of Daniel Ellsberg, with attacks on companies that have cooperated with the administration.\u00a0 If the our government thinks that Assange has committed a crime, let them charge him.\u00a0 However I must oppose attacking his means to operate by making allegations of criminality without specific charges to back them up.<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote><p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"background-image: none;
