I\u2019m not a big fan of Facebook.\u00a0 I had a flirtation with it for a few months, found Farmville totally addictive, and ended up spending so much time consuming their fast food for the mind, that it was interfering with my blog and with my life.\u00a0 Worse yet, I\u2019ve seen a few lefty bloggers succumb to their siren song and stop blogging.\u00a0 Now there is a Facebook clone that caters to the racism and bigotry of the Republican base.\u00a0 So I wonder, can the white supremacist version numb Republican minds any more than they already are?<\/span><\/p>\n

\"9nazi\"It looks like Facebook. It apparently works like Facebook. But the Terms of Use, not to mention the name, might give you a clue that this definitely isn\u2019t Facebook.<\/p>\n

Meet AryansBook.com.<\/p>\n

\u201cAryanBook [sic] is a racialist, WHITE ARYAN PRIDE Social Network for Whites Only! Niggers, Jews, Mexicans, and Muds and other non-white trash aren\u2019t allowed!\u201d the Terms of Use page declares<\/strong>, even though the actual website address is aryansbook.com, with a \u201cs.\u201d \u201cAll anti-white, pro-Jewish, pro-nigger, pro-faggot or other communist trash is hereby banned on this Network!<\/strong>\u201d<\/p>\n

On AryansBook\u2019s home page, underneath a world map that looks like the one that has identified Facebook\u2019s home page, is the phrase \u201c14 W.P.W.W. 88\u201d: 14 for the infamous \u201c14 Words\u201d credo<\/a> of white nationalism, the initials for the slogan \u201cWhite Pride World Wide,\u201d and 88 for two iterations of the eighth letter of the alphabet, h, meant to represent \u201cHeil Hitler.\u201d<\/p>\n

The real Facebook \u2014 the global social network service with more than a half-billion subscribers \u2014 isn\u2019t amused that its familiar look is being copied by a white supremacist.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019re aware of this website, and our legal team is considering what action to take,\u201d Simon Axten, Facebook\u2019s manager for public policy, told Hatewatch in an E-mail. \u201cWe\u2019re also investigating the website owner.\u201d<\/p>\n

That would be music promoter, entrepreneur and accused con man Chris \u201cBig Poppa\u201d Hogan of Heber Springs, Ark., who earlier this year was the Arkansas state leader and mid-South regional coordinator for a faction of the neo-Nazi group Aryan Nations<\/a> before he resigned in late November.
