(DISCLAIMER NOTE:<\/strong> Sorry for being so late, but as you might know from the news, KCMO and a good deal of the Midwest got hit with a triple-whammy weather-wise this week.\u00a0 We first got hit with the dreaded freezing rain; then we got hit with a layer of sleet; then it was topped off by a little snow.\u00a0 <\/em><\/p>\n

(Today was the first day we got double-digit temperatures \u2013 but only in the teens.\u00a0 I needed to take advantage of our \u201cbalmy\u201d weather to work on getting my downhill driveway drivable \u2013 rather than slidable \u2013 as I haven\u2019t left the house now in four days. End of Disclaimer<\/strong>.)<\/em><\/p>\n

The Clap Heard Round the World<\/u><\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n

No doubt we\u2019ve all seen Speaker Pelosi\u2019s<\/strong> now famous \u201cFU\u201d<\/strong> clap to Twitler<\/em><\/strong> during his SOTU speech this past Tuesday.\u00a0 (And in this instance, that \u201cFU\u201d<\/em><\/strong> is NOT<\/u><\/strong> the medical acronym for \u201cFollow-Up\u201d.<\/em>)<\/p>\n

But since it was such an iconic moment, I can\u2019t help but feel we should memorialize it.<\/p>\n

Pelosi has accomplished something few thought possible: she turned a clap into a viral art form.\u00a0 I mean, who could imagine that she could use it to send a message of disdain, condescension, umbrage and even threats of revenge.\u00a0 She clearly has become the new \u201cPlaid Shirt Guy\u201d<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
