Once upon a time, even before Politics Plus moved to WordPress in March 2010, we only had around twenty tags.  One of the first was "Progressive Issues".  On those issues, a new champion has arisen in support of green energy, the poor and middle classes, single payer health care, human rights, voting rights, women’s rights and much more.  But she may have been fibbing to us about her name.  Is it really Audacious Ocasio-Cortez?<\/font><\/p>\n

Chuck Todd had a fascinating conversation yesterday with Alexandria Casio-Cortez [sic<\/em>]. They touched on Medicare for All, and the Green New Deal, and the freshman congresswoman showed she knows exactly what she’s doing, and how she’s going to get there.<\/p>\n

"Are there specific red lines for you? Medicare for All — do you have to say you’ll do it or is aspiring to it in the future enough for you?" he asked.<\/p>\n

"I think that we need commitments with teeth. I don’t want to be placated as a progressive. And I know the progressive movement does not want to be placated in 2020," she said…<\/p>\n
