Basically, Democrats are trying to show they will behave much differently than House Republicans have over the past eight years.<\/p>\n<p>With <a href=\"https:\/\/news.gallup.com\/poll\/1597\/confidence-institutions.aspx\" target=\"_blank\">public trust in Congress<\/a> at historic lows, Democrats are taking a number of steps to strengthen ethics rules and bring back regular order to the legislative process \u2014 giving bills with broad bipartisan support a chance to go through committee even if they don\u2019t have leadership\u2019s blessing.<\/p>\n<p><font color=\"#0000ff\">Under the Republican Reich, no Bill could make it to the floor without the support of the Republican leadership, and the majority of the Congressional Reich. The Democratic Rules are how the House is supposed to be run. However, Pay-Go must be removed from the rules. <strong>RESIST<\/strong>!!<\/font><\/p>\n<p><font color=\"#0000ff\">From <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailykos.com\/stories\/2019\/1\/2\/1822983\/-Federal-workers-sue-over-being-forced-to-work-without-pay-during-Trump-s-shutdown\" target=\"_blank\">Daily Kos<\/a>: <\/font>Two federal workers and their union have filed a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonpost.com\/politics\/2019\/01\/02\/federal-work-force-shouldnt-be-used-pawn-union-sues-trump-administration-over-shutdown\/?utm_term=.834a26179252\">lawsuit against the government <\/a>over the wages they\u2019re losing during Donald Trump\u2019s shutdown. Justin Tarovisky and Grayson Sharp work in the Federal Bureau of Prisons, and they\u2019re still on the job as essential employees during the shutdown:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>\u201cThey\u2019re working a dangerous job, they\u2019re critically understaffed, and now, they don\u2019t know when they\u2019ll next get paid,\u201d [attorney Heidi Burakiewicz] said, adding that \u201cessential\u201d employees will continue incurring the costs of commuting to work, such as gas and child care.
