Kavanaugh issued a statement Sunday denying the accusations, but after heated pushback from politicians and the public, Kavanaugh <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonpost.com\/politics\/kavanaugh-accuser-willing-to-testify-her-lawyer-says\/2018\/09\/17\/21db2860-ba6c-11e8-9812-a389be6690af_story.html?utm_term=.bc105c8f5531\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">agreed to questioning<\/a> by the Senate panel Monday. A second hearing, where Kavanaugh and Ford will both <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonpost.com\/politics\/kavanaugh-accuser-willing-to-testify-her-lawyer-says\/2018\/09\/17\/21db2860-ba6c-11e8-9812-a389be6690af_story.html?utm_term=.34f7422cd0d4\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">testify publicly<\/a>, is scheduled for next week.
