It’s hard to find a redder state than Kansas, at least partially due to the extreme racist, fascist, homophobic, misogynous Secretary of State, Chris Kobitch.  There is a woman running for the 3rd US Congressional District that has all the requirements to cause Kobitch to have a full pants-load, if she wins, and I’d love to see either her win the nomination, and if not her, Welder, a Bernie activist.<\/font><\/p>\n

Like mixed martial arts, running for Congress involves patience, determination, and the ability to fight without taking attacks personally.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Sharice Davids, a professional MMA fighter<\/a>, Native American<\/strong>, openly gay<\/strong> attorney, and first-time candidate made that comparison on Sunday, just two days before she will have face other Democrats in a tightly contested race for Kansas\u2019 3rd congressional seat. Early this year, Davids said she looked at the field of candidates challenging Rep. Kevin Yoder (R-KS) and found there was nobody who looked like her on the ballot.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe need more people who look like the rest of the country to be running for office,\u201d Davids, who had a White House fellowship until the beginning of Donald Trump\u2019s presidency, told ThinkProgress.<\/p>\n

Davids said she saw that there were no leading women in the race for the district that includes Kansas City and its suburbs, which includes one county that went for Hillary Clinton in 2016. She also recognized that she would be the only candidate with federal policy experience and the only candidate with a distinctive background<\/strong>…<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Yoder is one of those Republicans who goes from old-style GOP moderate to closet KKK depending on his audience.  He is without integrity, courage or honor.<\/font><\/p>\n
