Wade<\/em>.&#160; He will vote to repeal the Affordable Care Act.&#160; He will give the NRA whatever they want.&#160; He has opined that sitting Presidents are immune from prosecution and may fire special prosecutors at will.&#160; Reject Kavanaugh!<\/font><\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<h5><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" title=\"0710Kavanaugh\" style=\"border-left-width: 0px; border-right-width: 0px; background-image: none; border-bottom-width: 0px; float: none; padding-top: 0px; padding-left: 0px; margin-left: auto; display: block; padding-right: 0px; border-top-width: 0px; margin-right: auto\" border=\"0\" alt=\"0710Kavanaugh\" src=\"https:\/\/www.7thstep.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/07\/0710Kavanaugh.jpg\" width=\"700\" height=\"389\" \/><\/h5>\n<h5>Abortion<\/h5>\n<p>Because he was a swing-vote in favor of abortion rights, Kennedy&#8217;s departure from the court has sparked alarm among abortion rights activists that Roe v. Wade, the landmark Supreme Court ruling that legalized abortion nationwide in 1973, could be overturned. In addition, Trump has long vowed to appoint justices who would reverse Roe and allow states to determine whether abortion should be legal.<\/p>\n<p>Kavanaugh has not expressed outright opposition to Roe v. Wade.<\/p>\n<p>One of his opinions likely to draw scrutiny from senators is a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonpost.com\/local\/public-safety\/appeals-court-in-washington-allows-detained-immigrant-teen-to-seek-abortion\/2017\/10\/24\/51811cd8-b8c8-11e7-9e58-e6288544af98_story.html?utm_term=.8c19a8bc8997\" target=\"_blank\">his dissent from a ruling<\/a> of the DC Circuit last October that an undocumented immigrant teen in detention was entitled to seek an abortion.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cadc.uscourts.gov\/internet\/opinions.nsf\/C81A5EDEADAE82F2852581C30068AF6E\/$file\/17-5236-1701167.pdf\" target=\"_blank\">In his dissent<\/a>, Kavanaugh wrote the Supreme Court has held that &quot;the government has permissible interests in favoring fetal life, protecting the best interests of a minor, and refraining from facilitating abortion.&quot; He wrote that the high court has &quot;held that the government may further those interests so long as it does not impose an undue burden on a woman seeking an abortion.&quot; He said the majority opinion was &quot;based on a constitutional principle as novel as it is wrong: a new right for unlawful immigrant minors in US government detention to obtain immediate abortion on demand.&quot; He added, however, that &quot;all parties to this case recognize Roe v. Wade and Planned Parenthood v. Casey as precedents we must follow.&quot;&#8230;<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p><font color=\"#0000ff\">Inserted from &lt;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnn.com\/2018\/07\/09\/politics\/kavanaugh-on-the-issues\/index.html\" target=\"_blank\">CNN<\/a>&gt;<\/font><\/p>\n<p><font color=\"#0000ff\">Republicans claim that it&#8217;s OK for moderate and DINOs to vote for him because he acknowledges <em>Roe v Wade<\/em> and <em>Planned Parenthood v. And he was <strong>on the hand-picked list put together by right-wing activists who want to overturn Roe v.
