{"id":32270,"date":"2018-04-30T13:35:59","date_gmt":"2018-04-30T20:35:59","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.politicsplus.org\/blog\/?p=32270"},"modified":"2018-04-30T13:35:59","modified_gmt":"2018-04-30T20:35:59","slug":"cordray-for-ohio","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.politicsplus.org\/blog\/2018\/04\/30\/cordray-for-ohio\/","title":{"rendered":"Cordray for Ohio"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><font color=\"#0000ff\">The Ohio Governorship is a very important post that Democrats should be able to reclaim in November, unless we shoot ourselves in the foot.&#160; I am writing this article in hopes of preventing just such an occurrence, because we have a solid Democrat, who was formerly head of the CFPB,and who has the endorsement of Elizabeth Warren, against an insufferable wing-nut.&#160; The problem is that several Bernie Sanders supporters are lining up behind the wing-nut.<\/font><\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" title=\"0430KucinichPaul\" style=\"border-left-width: 0px; border-right-width: 0px; background-image: none; border-bottom-width: 0px; float: none; padding-top: 0px; padding-left: 0px; margin-left: auto; display: block; padding-right: 0px; border-top-width: 0px; margin-right: auto\" border=\"0\" alt=\"0430KucinichPaul\" src=\"https:\/\/www.7thstep.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/04\/0430KucinichPaul.jpg\" width=\"700\" height=\"525\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Richard Cordray speaks softly and carries a big stack: lime-green index cards, pressed into his shirt pocket, near enough for any sudden onset of note-taking.<\/p>\n<p>A former director of the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, he has been endorsed in his bid for Ohio governor by Senator Elizabeth Warren, who has told him he needs to learn how to brag more. \u201cI am pretty good at getting back people\u2019s money,\u201d Mr. Cordray managed before an outdoor crowd of dozens here recently. Polite applause followed. He is trying.<\/p>\n<p>Dennis Kucinich speaks until someone interrupts him \u2014 and even this is often insufficient \u2014 and carries a bag of vegan groceries heavy enough to sink his right arm like a weight-bearing scale of justice.<\/p>\n<p>A former congressman and presidential candidate also running for governor, he has been endorsed in the May 8 Democratic primary by allies of Senator Bernie Sanders, who remember Mr. Kucinich\u2019s lectern-pounding opposition to the Iraq war and his long-ago turn as the \u201cboy mayor\u201d of Cleveland&#8230;<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p><font color=\"#0000ff\">Inserted from &lt;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2018\/04\/29\/us\/politics\/ohio-governor-richard-cordray-dennis-kucinich.html\" target=\"_blank\">NY Times<\/a>&gt;<\/font><\/p>\n<p><font color=\"#0000ff\">I used to be a Kucinich supporter.&#160; I considered his opposition to the Republican War for Oil and Conquest in Iraq nothing short od heroic.&#160; He was my second choice for President in 2008 until he did something that revealed his true character and rendered him forever unfit for public office.&#160; When asked who he would like to choose as his running mate, he picked an Ammosexual, anti-health care, homophobic, misogynist, racist, Republican Bircher: the infamous Ron Paul.<\/font><\/p>\n<p><font color=\"#0000ff\">Some of his supporters have denied that he did, so here is the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=py8cXlLyX18\" target=\"_blank\">proof<\/a>.<\/font><\/p>\n<p><font color=\"#0000ff\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" height=\"360\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube-nocookie.com\/embed\/py8cXlLyX18?rel=0\" frameborder=\"0\" width=\"640\" allow=\"autoplay; Here he is on <em>Faux<\/em> defending Trump in the Russia investigation.<\/font><\/p>\n<p><font color=\"#ff0000\"><strong>Barf Bag Alert!!<\/strong><\/font><\/p>\n<p><font color=\"#0000ff\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" height=\"360\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube-nocookie.com\/embed\/z3m8hKWmJSU?rel=0\" frameborder=\"0\" width=\"640\" allow=\"autoplay;
