In the last few days, two things have had Donald Trump, aka Putin’s puppet so engaged that he is apparently beside himself and constantly spewing rage.  The first is the FBI raids on his personal shyster, bag man and strong-arm man, Michael Cohen.  And the second is the contents of James Comey’s new book, A Higher Loyalty<\/u>.<\/font><\/p>\n

President Donald Trump’s decision to fire former FBI Director James Comey last May might prove to have been one of the most consequential of his presidency. It certainly has given him a powerful enemy, one whose new book, "A Higher Loyalty," contains explosive accusations about the current White House occupant.<\/font><\/font><\/p>\n

Given that Comey has an obvious bias against the man who terminated him, it is fair to say that the claims in the book should be taken with a grain of salt. Of course, considering that Trump himself lies so often that uttered more than 2,000 falsehoods during the first 355 days of his presidency<\/a><\/font><\/font><\/font><\/font>, it’s hardly like the president has the credibility to persuasively rebut anything that Comey has written.<\/font><\/font><\/p>\n

Here are some highlights.<\/font><\/font><\/p>\n

1. Comey continues the legend of the "pee tape<\/a><\/font><\/font><\/font><\/font>"<\/font><\/font><\/p>\n

According to Comey\u2019s account in a new memoir, Trump \u201cstrongly denied the allegations, asking \u2014 rhetorically, I assumed \u2014 whether he seemed like a guy who needed the service of prostitutes. He then began discussing cases where women had accused him of sexual assault, a subject I had not raised. He mentioned a number of women, and seemed to have memorized their allegations.\u201d<\/font><\/font><\/span><\/p>\n

The January 2017 conversation at Trump Tower in Manhattan \u201cteetered toward disaster\u201d \u2014 until \u201cI pulled the tool from my bag: \u2018We are not investigating you, sir.\u2019 That seemed to quiet him,\u201d Comey writes.<\/font><\/font><\/span><\/p>\n

Trump did not stay quiet for long. Comey describes Trump as having been obsessed with the portion dealing with prostitutes in the infamous dossier compiled by British former intelligence officer Christopher Steele, raising it at least four times with the FBI director. The document claimed that Trump had watched the prostitutes urinate on themselves in the same Moscow suite that President Barack Obama and first lady Michelle Obama had stayed in \u201cas a way of soiling the bed,\u201d Comey writes.<\/font><\/font><\/span><\/p>\n

Comey writes that Trump asked him to have the FBI investigate the allegations to prove they were not true, and offered varying explanations to convince him why. \u201cI\u2019m a germaphobe,\u201d Trump told him in a follow-up call on Jan. 11, 2017, according to Comey\u2019s account. \u201cThere\u2019s no way I would let people pee on each other around me. No way.\u201d<\/font><\/font><\/span><\/p>\n

Comey also noted that the president’s explanation as to why this couldn’t have happened \u2014 namely that he had only stayed in the hotel room in question in order to change his clothes \u2014 didn’t actually make sense.<\/font><\/font><\/p>\n

"I decided not to tell him that the activity alleged did not seem to require either an overnight stay or even being in proximity to the participants. In fact, though I didn\u2019t know for sure, I imagined the presidential suite of the Ritz-Carlton in Moscow was large enough for a germaphobe to be at a safe distance from the activity," Comey wrote in his book…<\/font><\/font><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n
