If the peace efforts he and his Republican Reich tried to prevent bear fruit, he may not get to play with his button and make the world go BOOM. <strong>RESIST<\/strong>!!<\/font><\/p>\n<p><font color=\"#0000ff\">From <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dcreport.org\/2018\/03\/05\/students-265-members-of-congress-0\/\" target=\"_blank\">DC Report<\/a>: <\/font>When our children are massacred we get \u201cthoughts and prayers\u201d from members of Congress instead of action to save lives.<\/p>\n<p>But when it comes to their own safety, lawmakers act swiftly\u2013and at our expense.<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"http:\/\/thehill.com\/homenews\/house\/375942-house-members-can-now-use-taxpayer-funds-to-pay-for-bulletproof-vests-security\" target=\"_blank\">House passed a resolution<\/a> allowing them to <a href=\"http:\/\/docs.house.gov\/meetings\/HA\/HA00\/20180227\/106927\/BILLS-115Committeeresolution115-7pih-ChangestotheCongressionalMemberHandbook.pdf\" target=\"_blank\">use our tax dollars to buy bulletproof vests<\/a>. And that\u2019s not all. They can use their expense accounts to pay for security guards at official events or just to hang out in their district offices.<\/p>\n<p>They can even use the money to install bulletproof glass in their district offices, although that has to be embedded in the rent, not paid for separately. One might read that provision as the first move on a slippery slope toward hiding security expenses.<\/p>\n<p>So, is there a pressing need for this use of taxpayer dollars to protect our lawmakers from people with guns hell-bent on murder?<\/p>\n<p><font color=\"#0000ff\">David Cay Johnston is spot on.
