The rest are even crazier. <strong>RESIST<\/strong>!!<\/font><\/p>\n<p><font color=\"#0000ff\">From <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonpost.com\/news\/politics\/wp\/2017\/11\/21\/federal-judge-blocks-trumps-executive-order-on-denying-funding-to-sanctuary-cities\/\" target=\"_blank\">Washington Post<\/a>: <\/font>A federal judge issued an injunction to permanently block President Trump\u2019s executive order to deny funding to cities that refused to cooperate with federal immigration officials, after finding the order unconstitutional.<\/p>\n<p>The ruling by District Judge William H. Orrick in San Francisco comes in response to a lawsuit filed by the city of San Francisco and nearby Santa Clara County and follows a temporary halt on the order that the judge issued in April.<\/p>\n<p>Orrick, in his summary of the case Monday, found that the Trump administration\u2019s efforts to move local officials to cooperate with its efforts to deport undocumented immigrants violated the separation of powers doctrine as well as the Fifth and Tenth amendments.<\/p>\n<p><font color=\"#0000ff\">Kudos to the judge for making his temporary order permanent (pending appeal).&#160; <strong>RESIST<\/strong>!!<\/font><\/p>\n<p><font color=\"#0000ff\">From <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2017\/11\/20\/business\/dealbook\/att-time-warner-merger.html\" target=\"_blank\">NY Times<\/a>: <\/font>The Justice Department <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/interactive\/2017\/11\/20\/business\/dealbook\/att-time-warner-lawsuit.html\" target=\"_blank\">sued to block AT&amp;T\u2019s $85.4 billion bid for Time Warner<\/a> on Monday, setting up a showdown over the first blockbuster acquisition to be considered by the Trump administration and drawing limits on corporate power in the fast-evolving media landscape.<\/p>\n<p>By challenging the deal, the Justice Department is taking an approach to antitrust issues that is starkly different from the Obama administration\u2019s. In 2011, for instance, the department <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2011\/01\/19\/business\/media\/19comcast.html\" target=\"_blank\">approved<\/a> a similar deal \u2014 Comcast\u2019s acquisition of NBCUniversal \u2014 after imposing numerous conditions on the transaction.<\/p>\n<p>If AT&amp;T\u2019s bid for Time Warner were to go through, the merger would create a media and telecommunications behemoth. By itself, AT&amp;T is one of the nation\u2019s largest internet and telephone providers.
