Trump just this week announced his Tax Plan with its “giant, beautiful, massive tax cut”<\/em><\/strong>.\u00a0 So, no doubt you were excited when Trump\u2019s Chief Economic Advisor, Gary Cohn<\/em><\/strong>, told us that:<\/p>\n

“\u2026a typical family earning $100,000 with two children that has been a standard deductor … can expect a tax cut of about $1,000.”<\/em><\/strong><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Well, a couple of things I\u2019d like to point out to you, Gary<\/em><\/strong> (can I call you Gary?\u00a0 I like to call all my employees<\/u><\/em> by their first name).\u00a0 According to the latest Census Bureau\u2019s figures, the median income in America is about $59,000.\u00a0 That\u2019s a pretty far cry from your \u201ctypical\u201d<\/em> six-figure income!<\/p>\n

And Gary, this just shows how out of touch (or tone-deaf) with the average American family you are.\u00a0 But that\u2019s pretty de rigueur<\/em> with the Trump administration, chockablock full with its millionaires and billionaires.<\/p>\n

Oh, WRT Mr. Cohn, the former CEO of Goldman Sachs?<\/p>\n

Gary Cohn, the former Goldman CEO and long-time banker is worth somewhere from $252 million to $611 million, according to a\u00a0<\/em><\/strong>financial disclosure form<\/em><\/strong><\/a>\u00a0released by the White House\u00a0<\/em><\/strong><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

But that didn\u2019t stop Mr. Cohn from telling us how absolutely wonderful this supposed $1,000 tax saving is going to be:<\/p>\n

If we allow a family to keep another $1,000 of their income, what does that mean? They can renovate their kitchen, they can buy a new car, they can take a family vacation, they can increase their lifestyle. <\/em><\/strong><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Well, of course Twitter had a field day with Gary \u201cI\u2019m-In-Touch-With-America\u201d<\/em><\/strong> Cohn\u2019s claim that we can remodel our kitchens or buy our families a new car or take them on a wonderful vacation with that $1,000 tax savings.\u00a0 And I\u2019m sure you all have seen or can imagine some of the examples \u2013 like a shot of the \u201ctypical\u201d American family\u2019s new car:<\/p>\n

But we\u2019re now in the ninth month of the flailing and failing Trump administration with no sign that they\u2019re going to get their act together anytime soon<\/span> ever<\/em><\/strong>.\u00a0 And sadder still is there is no sign they even want to!<\/p>\n

But since this post is supposed to be the dedicated \u201cFUN\u201d<\/em> one for PoliticsPlus<\/em>, I decided I\u2019d take their challenge and see what I could do with $1,000 to remodel my kitchen.<\/p>\n

You\u2019ll be glad to learn that with just a \u201cwee bit\u201d<\/em> of downsizing I had great success!\u00a0 But as the old adage goes, \u201cThe proof of the pudding is in the eating\u201d<\/em> \u2013 so let\u2019s chow down!<\/p>\n

First of all, to be successful with my $1,000 kitchen remodeling, courtesy of Trump’s “Tax Cut”, I had to scale back my expectations:<\/p>\n

Fortunately I was able to actually afford the double-burner stove!<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

As far as the tasting proof goes, since it\u2019s breakfast time when I\u2019m posting this, how about some pancakes?<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>\u00a0\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a> \"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

What about a hamburger for lunch?<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a> \"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a> \"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

And for supper?\u00a0 Let\u2019s have some fried shrimp and saut\u00e9ed vegetables \u2026<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a> \"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Or maybe some sushi \u2026<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Let\u2019s finish off our dinner with a delicious strawberry shortcake!<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a> \"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a> \"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

And all of this was accomplished for UNDER $1,000!<\/p>\n

See \u2026 Cohn was right!\u00a0 Of course you\u2019ll starve to death with the Trump Tax Cut Savings kitchen remodel job \u2013 but since their hopes of killing off Americans with Trumpcare<\/em> fell through, I guess this is their fallback plan.<\/p>\n
