The reason I keep posting articles about Republican hatred and bigotry is that Republicans keep crawling out from beneath their sheets and hoods to provide me example after example.\u00a0 In this latest, Newt Gingrich has once again flirted with birtherism to emphasize Barack Obama\u2019s Kenyan roots.<\/span><\/p>\n

\"GOPRacism\" Since the beginning of the Obama presidency, right-wing media — especially those who work at Fox News — have been carrying out a campaign of not-so-subtle race-baiting<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Today, Fox News contributor Newt Gingrich took this campaign to new levels, reportedly telling the National Review<\/span> that Obama has pretended to be “normal” but that Obama actually seems to be engaged in “Kenyan, anti-colonial behavior”<\/strong>:<\/p>\n

Citing a recent Forbes article by Dinesh D’Souza, former House speaker Newt Gingrich tells National Review Online that President Obama may follow a “Kenyan, anti-colonial” worldview.<\/p>\n

Gingrich says that D’Souza has made a “stunning insight” into Obama’s behavior — the “most profound insight I have read in the last six years about Barack Obama.”<\/p>\n

“What if [Obama] is so outside our comprehension, that only if you understand Kenyan, anti-colonial behavior, can you begin to piece together [his actions]?”<\/strong> Gingrich asks. “That is the most accurate, predictive model for his behavior.”<\/p>\n

So the Republican mantra that only white is right goes on.\u00a0 Gingrich\u2019s hateful charge is absurd on its face, because Obama\u2019s Kenyan father took no part in his upbringing.\u00a0 It would surprise to learn that Obama had even heard of Kenyan anti-colonial behavior before Republican racists used it against him.<\/span><\/p>\n

Of course the reason for such tactics is clear.\u00a0 Republicans have nothing on which to run other than hate and lies.\u00a0 Their new plan for America is the same as the old plan:\u00a0 More tax cuts for the rich and corporate welfare, less services for the poor and middle classes, and zero regulation of corporate criminals.<\/span><\/p>\n
