margin-right: auto\" border=\"0\" alt=\"0307TTowersAzerbaijan\" src=\"https:\/\/www.7thstep.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/03\/0307TTowersAzerbaijan.jpg\" width=\"700\" height=\"525\" \/><\/p>\n<p>President Donald Trump and his eldest daughter developed a hotel in Azerbaijan that appears to be a corrupt operation run by a family known as \u201cthe Corleones of the Caspian\u201d with links to Iran\u2019s Revolutionary Guard.<\/p>\n<p>The Trump International Hotel &amp; Tower Baku \u2014 conceived in 2008 as a luxury apartment building but converted in 2014 into a hotel \u2014 has never opened, and both local observers and international experts are baffled by the building\u2019s existence, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.newyorker.com\/magazine\/2017\/03\/13\/donald-trumps-worst-deal\" target=\"_blank\">reported The New Yorker<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The project was intended as an \u201cultra-luxury property\u201d with both hotel and residential space, but both its location and timing are odd, according to the report.<\/p>\n<p>Trump Tower Baku is located in an underdeveloped part of the city\u2019s downtown, across the street from a discount shopping center and miles away from the main business district.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhy would someone put a luxury hotel there?\u201d said former top official in Azerbaijan\u2019s Ministry of Tourism. \u201cNobody who can afford to stay there would want to be in that neighborhood.\u201d&#8230;<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p><font color=\"#0000ff\">From &lt;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.rawstory.com\/2017\/03\/bombshell-report-links-trump-hotel-to-corrupt-azerbaijan-oligarchs-and-iranian-terror-group\/\" target=\"_blank\">Raw Story<\/a>&gt;<\/font><\/p>\n<p><font color=\"#0000ff\">I encourage you to click through and read both this article and the New Yorker story it references.<\/font><\/p>\n<p><font color=\"#0000ff\">Raxhel Maddow covered the story in two segments.&#160;
