He brings a record of controversial positions on race, immigration and criminal justice reform that Democrats may target.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color:#0000FF;\">OMG!!! or WTH(F)!!!&nbsp; Can there be any other first reaction to Trump&#39;s choice of Senator Jeff Sessions&nbsp;for Attorney General?&nbsp; Sessions has a reputation as an unabashed&nbsp;racist.&nbsp;&nbsp;From <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Jeff_Sessions\" target=\"_blank\"><span style=\"color:#0000FF;\"><strong>Wikipedia<\/strong><\/span><\/a><span style=\"color:#0000FF;\">:<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>&quot;In 1986, Reagan nominated Sessions to be a judge of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Alabama. &#8230; At Sessions&#39; confirmation hearings before the Senate Judiciary Committee, four <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/United_States_Department_of_Justice\" title=\"United States Department of Justice\"><font color=\"#0066cc\">Department of Justice<\/font><\/a> lawyers who had worked with Sessions testified that he had made several <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Racism\" title=\"Racism\"><font color=\"#0066cc\">racist<\/font><\/a> statements in the context of the Marion Three case. One of those lawyers, J. The Trump transition team&rsquo;s website makes it clear that the issue hasn&rsquo;t been forgotten, saying that Trump will work to &ldquo;dismantle the Dodd-Frank Act and replace it with new policies.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>In an appearance on Capitol Hill Thursday, Federal Reserve Board Chair Janet Yellen delivered her verdict on the suggestion: bad idea.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"695\" height=\"391\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/kqfMGej37fg?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Yellen was delivering regularly scheduled testimony before the Joint Economic Committee when she was asked by Rep. Carolyn Maloney (D-NY) for her thoughts on the law that placed new restrictions on the financial services industry in the wake of the financial crisis that led to the Great Recession.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color:#0000FF;\">Although Yellen does not mention Trump by name, she responds to his proposal to gut financial regulations (Dodd-Frank), she is very clear that this will send the country into a deeper recession than 2008, and we all know how that turned out.&nbsp; Thank goodness Sanders and Warren are still strong in the Senate.&nbsp; Although I have not specifically heard anything, it would not surprise me find that Richard Cordray of the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau becomes &quot;unemployed&quot;, unfortunately.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.thedailybeast.com\/articles\/2016\/11\/14\/john-oliver-we-must-fight-trump-a-klan-backed-misogynist-internet-troll.html\" target=\"_blank\"><span style=\"color:#0000FF;\"><strong>Daily Beast<\/strong><\/span><\/a>&nbsp;&#8212; <a href=\"http:\/\/www.thedailybeast.com\/articles\/2014\/05\/01\/john-oliver-on-last-week-tonight-turning-down-cbs-and-nauseating-american-politics.html\" target=\"_blank\"><font color=\"#0066cc\">John Oliver<\/font><\/a>, like most liberal comedians, did his damnedest to prevent Donald Trump and Mike Pence from reaching the White House. He tore apart the former reality-show host for <a href=\"http:\/\/www.thedailybeast.com\/articles\/2016\/10\/10\/john-oliver-tears-apart-gop-for-enabling-pussy-grabbing-trump.html\" target=\"_blank\"><font color=\"#0066cc\">bragging about sexually assaulting women<\/font><\/a>, explained how his scandals were <a href=\"http:\/\/www.thedailybeast.com\/articles\/2016\/09\/26\/john-oliver-dangerous-donald-trump-is-way-way-shadier-than-hillary-clinton.html\" target=\"_blank\"><font color=\"#0066cc\">far worse than Hillary Clinton&rsquo;s<\/font><\/a>, and even offered up <a href=\"http:\/\/www.thedailybeast.com\/articles\/2016\/10\/24\/john-oliver-offers-donald-trump-his-emmy-to-bow-out-gracefully.html\" target=\"_blank\"><font color=\"#0066cc\">his Emmy to Trump<\/font><\/a> if he&rsquo;d deliver a concession speech and ensure a peaceful transfer of power upon losing.<\/p>\n<div class=\"BodyNodes\">\n<div class=\"Text\">\n<p>Well, Trump managed the unthinkable: He won. He is now the president-elect. And Oliver, like more than half of Americans who cast their ballot, is shocked and terrified.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"695\" height=\"391\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/eh1-y6b5A88?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;It&rsquo;s true!
